Good Friday morning! We are on the road again! Finishing the drive to Phoenix! Tomorrow bright and early will be the first game. I do hope the boys play well! I am so excited for them!! Sketch Frenzy Friday has a new sketch challenge for this week! This week's sketch was designed by Kim Innis. Take a look at this very interesting sketch!

At first glance, the three panels on the left reminded me of road signs - lol! But that is not what I wanted to go for. So take a look at what I finally came up with!

I wanted to use product from the Sale-A-Bration brochure. I used the words from the Outlined Occasions stamp set. I stamped them in Soft Suede onto a card base of Very Vanilla. Then I colored in the greeting with a Lucky Limeade marker and the stars with a Pool Party marker. The three panels are pieces of from the Everyday Enchantment designer paper pack. You can't see it from the photo, but I made my vertical strip with my Simply Scored tool by scoring lines 1/2" apart. I die cut two stars from Pool Party using the stars #2 die. I sponged the stars with Pool Party ink and added a gold brad to the smaller star. These are popped up on the card. Super simple!

Good morning everyone! I hope your week is going great! Today is the day we will be leaving for Phoenix!! Nick has a soccer tournament down there and we are so excited to be going! Today is also the day for another fabulous challenge at Create with Connie and Mary. This week we are being challenged with color. Take a look at these fabulous colors!

Melon Mambo, Chocolate Chip and Lucky Limeade are the wonderful colors for this challenge! Look at what I came up with!

I think that I just love these colors together! So bright and cheery and brown looks great with these colors, too! I took a piece of Whisper White and stamped the greeting from Friendly Phrases in Chocolate Chip. I added two strips of Melon Mambo card stock that were punched with the dotted ribbon scallop punch behind it and then adhered it to a piece of Chocolate Chip. This panel is popped up on a card base of Chocolate Chip. Then I stamped the flower from Mixed Bunch in Melon Mambo onto Whisper White and punched it with the Blossom punch. I used the same punch to punch another flower from Lucky Limeade. I cut two flower petals and adhered them to the back of the Melon Mambo flower. Then I stamped the flower center in Chocolate Chip on Whisper White and cut it out. This is popped up on the flower. I popped up the flower onto the card. Then I tied a bow with the white baker's twine in a clear bitty button and adhered it to the flower center. The finishing touch was to add two rhinestones under the greeting. And it's finished! Simple!

Good morning, Friends! This week seems to be flying by! We will be leaving tomorrow afternoon to drive part way to Phoenix! Nick has a soccer tournament there this weekend! We are so excited to be getting out of town! But I didn't sleep very well last night - UGH! Why is it that when you don't sleep very well all night long, that you suddenly fall into a very deep sleep right at the moment when you need to wake up? That is SO frustrating! So I do hope that I get the sleep I need tonight for our trip this weekend.

Today's card is based on a sketch for the recent Late Night Stampers group. The new challenge came up Monday morning and I thought - this is perfect for my stamp club (which was meeting that night). And it was! This is what my ladies made Monday night. And easy card and they loved it! My card base is Pool Party with a strip of designer paper from the Everyday Enchantment designer paper pack adhered on the side. I stamped the image from Fresh Vintage using Lucky Limeade, Pool Party and Poppy Parade markers onto a 3" die cut circle from Very Vanilla. Then I sponged the edges with Soft Suede. This is glued to the card. Then I stamped the flower in Poppy Parade onto a scrap of Very Vanilla and cut it out. I put a brad from the Everyday Enchantment ribbon and brad pack through the middle and popped it up on the card. I stamped the greeting from Thank You Kindly in Soft Suede onto a strip of Very Vanilla and tucked it behind the flower. Then I added three pearls around the perimeter of the circle. Good morning everyone and Happy Valentine's Day! I woke up to a big vase of flowers, two boxes of Girl Scout Tag-a-Long cookies and an iTunes gift card! Woohoo!! I love my family!! Nothing romantic around here but that's o.k. with me. There will be some great basketball games on tonight and that suits me just fine!

Today's card was inspired from a sketch in the recent PaperCrafts magazine. I decided to turn it into a Valentine's card just for today! My card base is Pool Party. I took a strip of the designer paper from the Everyday Enchantment designer paper pack and attached a strip of Calypso Coral that had been punched with the dotted ribbon scallop punch. Then I glued it to the card. I stamped the words from Outlined Occasions in Pool Party and colored in the "love" with a Pool Party marker. Then I used my Fashionable Hearts embosslit and die cut some hearts from Pool Party, Calypso Coral, and Very Vanilla. I also die cut a heart from Very Vanilla using the Scallop Heart of Hearts. The other larger heart was punched from Calypso Coral using the Full Heart punch. I arranged them on the card popping up the largest heart and added a rhinestone. Good morning, Friends! I hope you all had a great weekend! I can't believe that we are at another Monday. I could have used another day in the weekend but here we go! I have my stamp club tonight so I need to spend most of the day getting ready for that. And then there is a super basketball game on later tonight!

Today's card was inspired from a sketch at Freshly Made Sketches. My card base is Very Vanilla to which I added two strips of the Everyday Enchantment designer paper that I clipped at the ends to make it look like it was flagged. Then I stamped the flower from Mixed Bunch in Pool Party on Very Vanilla and punched it out with the Blossom punch. I also punched a flower out with the same punch from Pool Party and Lucky Limeade. I slightly curled the petals of the Very Vanilla flower before adhering it to the Pool Party flower and then I cut two of the Lucky Limeade petals and adhered them to the back of the flower to look like leaves. This is popped up on the card. Then I punched a flower from Pool Party using the Blossom Bouquet Triple Layer punch. I put a brad from the Everyday Enchantment ribbon and brad pack through the middle. I felt like it didn't show up very well so I punched a 1/2" circle from Soft Suede and glued it to the flower. I popped up the punched/brad flower up onto the center of the flower. Then I stamped the greeting from Teeny Tiny Wishes in Pool Party onto a strip of Very Vanilla and flagged one end. Good morning, Friends! I really wanted to stay under the nice warm blankets this morning! It is looking really gray outside and looks cold! We are supposed to get some rain so we will see what it does. I need to get up and get ready. Nick has soccer practice and I need to get some laundry done! And I would like to get some crafting done as well. I do need to get ready for my stamp club tomorrow...

Today's card was done for Mary Jo's Lunchtime Sketch Challenge. She posts a new one each Monday so I am getting in just under the wire! I haven't been able to play along in a while so it is nice to get back into it! And a nice simple sketch, too! I started with a piece of Pool Party where I stamped the greeting from Tea Shoppe in Soft Suede. Over the greeting I stamped the flower in Pool Party. I attached this piece to a card base of Soft Suede. Then I took a strip of Very Vanilla and stamped the three tea cups in Pool Party. Behind this strip I attached two pieces of Soft Suede that were punched with the dotted scallop ribbon punch and then glued it down to the card. I stamped one of the tea cups on a scrap of Very Vanilla and cut it out. This is popped up on the card over the tea cup that was already stamped. Then I took a scrap of Daffodil Delight and punched a flower with the itty bitty shapes punch pack and adhered it to the tea cup. Then I added a pearl. A nice easy card! Good morning, Friends! I hope you are having a great start to a great weekend! It is supposed to start raining around here starting tomorrow but I am o.k. with that because we really need the moisture! We really haven't gotten any snow around here to speak of so the rain would be nice. Nick has soccer practice and there are some really great basketball games on, too!

Today's card is one that just sort of popped into my head and as I experimented, this is what emerged! I am excited about it, too!! I am sure that someone else has thought of this but I hadn't seen it anywhere else and that is why I am so excited about how it all came out! The Late Night Stampers group's challenge is to make a Girly-Girl card. As I was browsing through my most recent magazine, I came across a cute card that had a clothesline and cute little clothes hanging from it. And then it hit me... what about the owl punch? So I pulled it out and gave it a try. Our little clothespins are just a tad too big for this so I left it off. Here's what I did: I punched a piece of Blushing Bride with the owl punch and then drew little lines with my white gel pen to give it some definition that it was a dress. Then I took some of the new Blushing Bride pleated satin ribbon and attached it to the bottom of the "dress" on the back using sticky strip. My card base is Whisper White with a piece of Blushing Bride. Then I took another piece of Whisper White and stamped the greeting from Teeny Tiny Wishes in Basic Grey and used the ticket corner punch on the corners. This is popped up on the card and the "dress" has two dimensionals on it to pop it up on the card. I added a punched heart from the owl punch in Poppy Parade. And then I put a little rhinestone on it. I also added rhinestones in the corners of the Blushing Bride piece. I just think it turned out so cute! Now if I just knew of someone having a little girl... All my friends having babies are having boys! Anyway, it was fun! Thanks for stopping by and have a super day!

Good morning everyone! Yea! It's Friday! I am ready for a great weekend! Are you? Sketch Frenzy Friday has another great challenge for you all this week! I do hope you will find time to play along with us! Take a look at the fantastic sketch that Jennifer designed for us!

Lots of possibilities on this one! But here is what I decided to do with this sketch!

My picture didn't come out very good. I am still experimenting with photo editing. I hope I get better - lol! Anyway, I took a piece of Very Vanilla card stock and ran it through the Big Shot with the Vintage Wallpaper embossing folder and then popped it up on a card base of Very Vanilla. Then I took the dotted ribbon scallop punch and punched two strips of Pool Party and tucked them behind a strip of Very Vanilla. This is adhered to the card. Then I cut a Very Vanilla piece of card stock using the Lots of Tags sizzlets and stamped the greeting from Tea Shoppe in Soft Suede. I stamped a tea cup from the same set in Pool Party on Very Vanilla and cut it out. This is glued to the corner of the tag and the tag is popped up on the card. Then I punched a flower out of Daffodil Delight using the itty bitty shapes punch pack, glued it to the tea cup and then added a pearl.

Good morning, Friends! Time for another great challenge with our friends at Create with Connie and Mary! This week we are being challenged with a sketch. Take a look!

What a super fun sketch! So clean and simple! Just my kind of sketch!! Take a look at what I came up with!

I made a square card that measures 4 1/4". I really like the smaller size of this square. And I kept my card very simple, just like the sketch. My card base is Soft Suede. Then I popped up a Very Vanilla piece that was cut with the Perfect Pennants die. Then I took a piece of designer paper from the Everyday Enchantment pack and flagged one end. At the other end I added a piece of Very Vanilla seam binding ribbon and a brad from the Everyday Enchantment ribbon and brad pack. I glued this down to the scallop piece. I punched a Very Vanilla circle with the 1 3/4" circle punch and stamped the greeting from Elementary Elegance in Soft Suede. This circle is popped up on the card. The last thing I did was to add a butterfly (from the same set) that was stamped in Peach Parfait onto Very Vanilla. I cut it out and used a glue dot to attach it to the card. I added a rhinestone as well.

Framed Tea Cup

Good morning, Friends! Well this week seems to be flying by! But I do seem to be getting a lot done. I have been really busy stamping. I have been working on getting ahead on my design team cards so that they are all ready to go when the time comes. Now I need to get cards done for the other days in between!

Today's card was inspired by one that I saw in a recent magazine. I was inspired by the frame that they had done on the card and so I went to replicate it with our products. And I do like how it turned out! I took a piece of the Attic Boutique designer paper and a piece of Whisper White to the Big Shot and used two of the Labels framelits die to cut the frame. The piece of Whisper White is to help make the designer paper a little more sturdy because this gets popped up onto a card base of Whisper White. I stamped the teacup from Tea Shoppe in Pool Party onto the card and the greeting in Soft Suede. I tied some white baker's twine on a button from the neutrals collection and added it to the frame. The button looks black but it is actually a brown one. I am experimenting with my photos to try to get them to come out a little better. I will keep trying! Paper Players 80 and 81

Good morning everyone! I hope your week is off to a great start! Nothing exciting going on around here this week. And that is kind of nice right now!

Today's card is from a sketch at The Paper Players. This is actually their challenge for last week but it would also fit this week's challenge, too. So I will probably enter it for that one. But I did use the sketch as my starting point. I took a piece of Baja Breeze and added a piece of Twitterpated designer paper to it. Then I stamped the greeting from Thank You Kindly in Basic Grey onto a scrap of Whisper White and punched it out with the Decorative Label punch. This is glued to the back of the Baja Breeze panel. Then I wrapped a piece of Whisper White taffeta ribbon around this and popped it up on a card base of Whisper White. For my focal point I took a stamp from the Apothecary Art set and stamped just the outline part of the image. Then I took it to the Big Shot and used my Labels Framelits die to cut out the shape. This is popped up over the ribbon. I stamped the flower images from Bordering on Romance on scrap pieces of Whisper White in Basic Grey and colored them in with Blushing Bride, Baja Breeze, Island Indigo, Riding Hood Red and Pear Pizzazz markers. I cut these out and popped them up on the label frame. The little flower in the corner actually has two dimensionals on it! The last thing I did was to add a little bling with some rhinestones! Good morning, Friends! Another week to begin. I hope you all had a fantastic weekend! Patriots fans are probably bummed. While I really didn't care who won, I was secretly cheering for the Giants. And the game was really pretty good! We just had a quiet game watching the event here at home. And that was nice. Now to get another week going...

Today's card was inspired by a sketch at Freshly Made Sketches. They have some really fantastic sketches!! For this challenge, they are going long. So my card is a 3 x 6 card. I started with a card base of Whisper White and then added a piece of Basic Grey and then a piece of Twitterpated designer paper. I took a piece of Riding Hood Red and ran it through the Big Shot with the Adorning Accents edgelits die to scallop it. This is added to the card. Then I took a strip of Whisper White and stamped the greeting from Friendly Phrases in Basic Grey. Then I took a piece of Whisper White and stamped just the outline of one of the stamps from Apothecary Art in Basic Grey. I took this to the Big Shot and used my Labels Framelits die to cut the shape. This is popped up on the card. Then I stamped the flowers from Bordering on Romance in Basic Grey onto Whisper White and colored them in with Baja Breeze, Riding Hood Red, Island Indigo, Blushing Bride and Pear Pizzazz markers. I cut them out and added three brads before popping them up on the card. I found a small flower that I had stamped, colored and cut out from another project and used glue dots to adhere it to the card. Thanks for stopping by and have a super day!

Good Sunday morning everyone! I hope you are all having a super weekend! Are you going to be watching the Superbowl? We will. It won't be a "big" deal here but we will watch and have a good time! Got some great snack recipes that I want to try. Nick has soccer practice before that. And it appears that I really need to get some laundry done!

Today's card was made from a sketch at My Favorite Things. Great sketch!! I like to see what they have going on occasionally and try my hand at their sketches. And I like the way this one turned out! I took a piece of Soft Suede and adhered a piece of Attic Boutique designer paper then adhered a strip of Pool Party to that. This panel is popped up on a card base of Very Vanilla. Then I took a piece of Very Vanilla and ran it through the Big Shot with the Perfect Pennants die and another piece of Very Vanilla was punched with the 1 3/4" circle punch. The scallop piece is popped up and the circle is popped up as well. I stamped the teacup from Tea Shopped on a scrap piece of Very Vanilla and cut it out. I popped it up on the circle. I stamped the greeting in Soft Suede on a strip of Very Vanilla and tucked it under the teacup. Good morning, Friends! What a fabulous looking weekend it is around here! Is it really the middle of winter? A lot of the plants are a little confused, too! I won't complain too much (after the last two winters we have had around here) as long as the mountains get tons of snow! That's where we need it the most! But I do hope it rains around here some time...

Today's card is from a challenge that I haven't played along with, yet. I love to visit their blog and look at what they have going on but I haven't really every played along. And it looks like I won't get to play along with this one either as the deadline as passed. But I loved the challenge! The challenge blog is "Less is More". Great name, huh!! They believe in keeping things very clean and very simple. Love it! And I love how my card turned out, too! I took a strip of Whisper White and used my Full Heart punch to punch a heart. Then I too a piece of the Twitterpated designer paper and glued it to the front of a whisper White card base. The strip with the punched heart is popped up over that. Then I stamped the greeting from Grateful Greetings in Riding Hood Red. As a finishing touch I added a heart that was cut with the Fashionable Hearts embosslit with a rhinestone. Good morning everyone! Thank goodness it's Friday! And it's time for a great sketch challenge at Sketch Frenzy Friday! This week's sketch was created by ME!! Take a look!

Sometimes I find it so hard to create a card from my own sketch! Weird, I know - lol! For my card I decided to combine it with the challenge at LNS which is to create a project using black, white and one other color. So take a look at what I came up with!

Another Valentine card! I used Basic Black, Cherry Cobbler, and Whisper White. I took a piece of Whisper White and attached a piece of patterned paper from the Neutrals paper stack and a another piece of Whisper White that was run through the Big Shot with the Adorning Accents edgelits embossing folder (see the cute little hearts). Then I wrapped a piece of Basic Black narrow taffeta ribbon around this and adhered this to a card base of Basic Black. Then I took a piece of Whisper White and stamped the dotted heart from I {Heart} Hearts in black StazOn. I popped this up on the card. Then I stamped the polka dot heart (from the same set) in Cherry Cobbler on a scrap of Whisper White and cut it out. This is glued flat inside the dotted heart. Then I stamped the greeting from Grateful Greetings in black StazOn and punched it out with the 1 3/8" circle punch and adhered it to a punched scallop circle that was punched from Basic Black. I colored in the heart with the Cherry Cobbler marker and popped this up on the card. The last thing I did was to add a rhinestone to the heart!

Good morning, Friends! Time to play along with another great challenge from the team at Create with Connie and Mary! This week we are being challenged with color. Take a look at these yummy colors!

The challenge colors are Concord Crush, Pool Party and Sahara Sand. I didn't even think about ever putting these colors together but they look so great! Take a look at what I came up with!

I really liked the idea of making a Valentine card using non-traditional "valentine" colors. I took a piece of Sahara Sand that was cut down and stamped the dotted heart from I {Heart} Hearts in Sahara Sand. Then I wrapped a piece of Pool Party seam binding ribbon around it. I glued this panel down to a piece of Concord Crush and then popped it up on a card base of Sahara Sand. Then I took a piece of Whisper White and used my Labels framelits and cut the shape. I stamped the greeting from Grateful Greetings in Concord Crush and popped it up on the card. Then I cut hearts using the Fashionable Hearts embosslit from Pool Party and Concord Crush card stock and then attached them to the card. The last thing was to add some rhinestones.

Good morning everyone! And happy February! Halfway through another week and into another month! Wow! I think I am ready for the weekend, though! It was hard to get up this morning! But here we go...

Today's card is one that I did for last week's CASE Study challenge. I have always admired their work but never participated in their challenges. And it looks like I won't be participating with this one either because I am too late - lol! Oh well. I will still show you all. With their challenges, they show you a card and you are to take inspiration from that. It could be the layout, the colors or even the images used. And the point is to keep it simple. So I took a piece of Whisper White card stock and stamped the image from Sprinkled Expressions in Riding Hood Red and added a mini brad (gotta have a little bling, right?). Then I ran a piece of Basic Grey, Riding Hood Red, and Blushing Bride through the Big Shot with the Tasteful Trim die to make the rick rack. I glued these just below the image. Good morning, Friends! I hope your week is off to a great start! I need to finish a few projects today but that's about it!

Today's card comes from a sketch by Karen Giron. I always like her sketches! I haven't played hers in a while and decided to give this one a try. I didn't do as many layers but I like how soft this one turned out! You all know it is Sale-A-Bration time, right! I am using the SAB set called Sprinkled Expressions. I started with a card base of Whisper White and then added two panels of Blushing Bride of which I rounded the outside corners. Then I took another piece of Whisper White and ran it through the Big Shot with the Adorning Accents edgelits embossing folder. I embossed the bottom part with the hearts. I stamped the image at the top in Blushing Bride. I glued this down to a piece of Basic Grey and added a strip of Twitterpated designer paper that has one end flagged. This panel is then popped up on the card. Then I stamped the greeting - also from the same set - in Blushing Bride on a scrap of Whisper White card stock and punched it out with the 1 3/8" circle punch. I popped this up on the card. Then I took some Blushing Bride card stock and put it in the Big Shot with the Fashionable Hearts embosslit and placed the smallest heart right over the stamped hearts. Good morning, Friends! I can't believe that we are at the last little bit of January! That just seemed to fly by! We had a quiet weekend around here. And it doesn't look like there is too much excitement for the week. That's o.k. with me! Just a nice routine!

Today's card was one that I did for the fall-to layout at Clean&Simple. I'm not sure that this is my favorite card but I like the three hearts and the button. Those little buttons are so stinkin' cute!! I started with a piece of Basic Grey and attached a piece of Twitterpated designer paper to it. Then I pierced holes in the Basic Grey all around the designer paper. This panel is popped up onto a card base of Whisper White. Then I punched three hearts from Blushing Bride using the Full Heart punch. The two outer ones are glued flat to the card. The middle one is glued to a Riding Hood Red heart that was cut from the Scallop Heart of Hearts sizzlet and then is popped up in the middle. I cut some hearts from Baja Breeze using the Fashionable Hearts sizzlet and used a glue dot to attach the smallest heart in the corner. Then I took the greeting from Teeny Tiny Wishes and stamped it on a strip of Whisper White in Basic Grey. I flagged one end and glued it flat. Good Sunday morning everyone! It was sure great to sleep in this morning but I didn't really expect to sleep this long! I took a peek at the clock and just expected to sleep about a half hour longer and ended up sleeping two hours longer!! Yikes! Oh well! Now I don't have as much time before I have to get Nick to soccer practice. Looks to be a beautiful day today!

Today's card is one that I did for a recent swap I participated in. My card base is Soft Suede with a piece of Pool Party glued down. Then I took a piece of Whisper White and rounded the bottom corners. I took a piece of the Attic Boutique designer paper and scalloped one end and corner rounded the other. I glued this to the Whisper White piece and then wrapped a piece of Pool Party seam binding ribbon around it before popping it up on the card. On a scrap piece of Whisper White I stamped the flower from Mixed Bunch in Pool Party and punched it out with the Blossom punch. I also stamped the flower center in Soft Suede and punched it out with the 3/4" circle punch. I put a brad through this and popped it up on the flower and the flower is popped up on the card. Then I took two strips of Whisper White and stamped the words on each in Soft Suede. The greeting is from the hostess set, Happiest Birthday Wishes. I flagged one end on each and glued them to the card by tucking them behind the flower. And there you have it! Thanks for stopping by and have a super day!

Good morning, Friends! It is so good to be back to my regularly scheduled routine! I still have the lingering effects of a cold but I am happy to be back to "normal". My son even stayed home from school one day this week because he had the same thing. Feels more like allergies than a cold. And with all this unseasonably warm weather we are having, it is no wonder!

Today's card was inspired from a sketch at Create with Connie and Mary. It is actually their sketch challenge for those that have subscribed to their Create Occasions Edition. And it is their sketch from last week. I just loved this sketch! Something a little different. My card base is Basic Grey to which I added a piece of the Twitterpated designer paper. At the top of this I added a piece of the Blushing Bride satin pleated ribbon. Then I cut a piece of Whisper White that was 2 3/8" wide (can't remember how long). I stuck one end through the top of my 2 1/2" circle punch (the other end is sticking out so that it won't get punched). This rounds the top. Then I stamped the greeting from Friendly Phrases in black StazOn. I took a strip of Riding Hood Red and ran it through the Big Shot using the Adorning Accents edgelits. This is glued to the back of the Whisper White piece. Then I took some of my cut out flowers from the Bordering on Romance stamp set and arranged them on my panel. One is glued flat and the other is popped up. The trio of flowers has brads in the flower centers. They were stamped on Whisper White in black StazOn and then colored with markers - Pear Pizzazz, Blushing Bride, Island Indigo, Riding Hood Red, and Baja Breeze. This whole Whisper White panel is then popped up onto the card. These flowers were leftovers of the project that I did for the Create Occasions Edition. But you have to be a subscriber to see that! Good morning everyone! And thank goodness it's Friday! I hope that you all have had a fabulous week and are ready to play along with us at Sketch Frenzy Friday! We have a fabulous sketch for you that was designed by Angela Walters. Take a look!

Such a great clean and simple sketch! So many possibilities with this one! I just love the new Tea Shoppe set and decided to have a go with it. Here is what I came up with.

I stamped the little tea cup six times in Pool Party onto Very Vanilla card stock and cut them out. Then I punched six circles from Very Vanilla with the 1 1/4" circle punch. I ran them through the Big Shot with the Perfect Polka Dots embossing folder. The circles are glued to a Pool Party card base. The tea cups are popped up on each circle. I stamped the greeting in Pool Party at the bottom. The last thing I did was to add a flower three cups that was punched with the itty bitty shapes punch pack from Daffodil Delight card stock. A pearl is added to each flower.

Good morning, Friends! I know it's been a while since my last post, but I hope that I am back to my regular routine! Today I am bringing you the Thursday challenge from Create with Connie and Mary! This week we are being challenged with a sketch. Check it out!

And here is what I came up with!

I decided to keep this one very simple. I started by taking a piece of Confetti Cream and rounding the opposite corners. Then I ran it through the Big Shot with the Vintage Wallpaper embossing folder. Then I attached a piece of designer paper with the Everyday Enchantment paper pack from the SAB brochure. I did round the bottom right hand corner before adhering it. Then I wrapped a piece of Very Vanilla seam binding ribbon around this panel and popped it up on a card base of Confetti Cream. Then I took a piece of Confetti Cream and used my ovals die to cut an oval. Then I stamped the image from Fresh Vintage onto the oval using Poppy Parade and Lucky Limeade markers. Then I took it back to the Big Shot and ran it through using the Designer Frames embossing folder. This is then popped up onto the card. That's it!!

Good morning everyone! I hope you are all having a fabulous start to the weekend! I think that I am starting to feel like I am able to get out and about. I can keep my eyes open without anything seeping out of them - yay! Now it just seems to be the regular cold like stuff. And I am getting a cough. Oh joy! So now that I am feeling better, I need to get to work on all the projects that must be finished this next week!

Today's card was the one that I did for this week's Sketch Frenzy Friday challenge. I am loving the tea cups! So dainty! I good a piece of Pool Party and ran it through the Big Shot with the Framed Tulips embossing folder and cut around it. This is adhered to a Pool Party card base. Then I took a piece of Soft Suede and stamped the large tea cup from Tea Shoppe in Soft Suede. I also stamped the greeting in Soft Suede and adhered this to a piece of Very Vanilla. Then I popped the panel on the card. I stamped the small tea cup in Soft Suede on Very Vanilla and cut it out. This is popped up on the card, too. I punched a flower from Pool Party with the itty bitty shapes punch pack and adhered it to the tea cup. I added a pearl to finish it off. Very simple! Thanks for stopping by and have a super day!

Control Freaks Blog Tour - Love is in the Air

So this month's tour is all about the LOVE! We will be featuring projects made with a lot of love but also showing a lot of love, too! I have three projects this month. Which surprises me as I woke up this morning feeling awful! Thank goodness I didn't have anything else to do and could take my time finishing up my projects. My first project is a simple card (do I do any other kind -lol).

I ran a piece of Very Vanilla card stock through the Big Shot with the new edgelits embossing folder. I hope you can see the cute little hearts that are embossed! Love them!! This is adhered to a piece of Poppy Parade and then popped up onto a Crumb Cake card base. Then I stamped the solid heart from I {Heart} Hearts onto a scrap of Very Vanilla with Poppy Parade ink and cut it out. It is popped up onto the card. I stamped the greeting onto a strip of Very Vanilla in Poppy Parade. I flagged one end and put in one of the new brads from the Everyday Enchantment ribbon and brad pack. This is adhered right over the heart. Very simple. I even thought it isn't too "mushy" for a guy!

My second project is another card. It is hard to tell from the photo, but I actually punched out an oval from Island Indigo with my extra large oval punch. Then I ran it through the Big Shot using the designer frames embossing folders. So when it came out, the frame had a hole in the center. Make sense? Then I cut around the frame. I stamped the greeting from Grateful Greetings on Whisper White in Island Indigo. Then I put dimensionals on back side of the frame and adhered it to the greeting. I cut any excess Whisper White card stock so it didn't show around the outside of the frame. Then I took a piece of designer paper from the Twitterpated pack and stamped the dotted heart from i {Heart} Hearts in Island Indigo. This was adhered to a piece of Whisper White and then popped up onto a card base of textured Island Indigo. Then I stamped the other heart in Riding Hood Red onto Whisper white and cut it out. I glued down my frame piece and popped up the heart. I also added a flower that was punched from Blushing Bride card stock with the itty bitty shapes punch pack. I added a rhinestone to the flower and a few under the greeting as well. Very simple and not much of a layout change from the other card.

The next project is one that I am really proud of! It is my first faux chenille quilted project!! I actually started this project last week (thinking I would use it for the tour) but got stuck on the binding. And that is why you will not be getting close-ups of this!! The binding is really not good but I can't complain too much because it is all held together - lol!!

I am not going to go into details on how I made this because you can find many tutorials on this kind of project. I did use the Twitterpated designer fabric. And I think it is SO cute!! It's not a potholder because it doesn't have any insulation. It is more of a table decoration! Remember the tea light mason jar I made for last month's tour? Well, doesn't it look great set on top of it? You could also set a plant on it or a bigger candle. Anyway, I am thrilled!!

The Benadryl that I took a few minutes ago seems to be kicking in. I do hope there aren't too many typos and that you can understand everything. I am so glad you stopped by to see my projects! Good morning everyone! It's time for another fun Thursday challenge at Create with Connie and Mary! This week we are challenged with color. Take a look!

The colors this week are Peach Parfait, Calypso Coral and Lucky Limeade. Such FUN colors! But I did have a hard time trying to put Peach Parfait and Calypso Coral together. Here is what I finally came up with.

I decided to let the Confetti Cream do most of the 'talking'. These colors can be very bright but with all the cream they do soften quite a bit and can look very pretty! I love the way this one turned out! I got my layout from an older Clean&Simple sketch. I stamped the image from Bordering on Romance onto Confetti Cream in black StazOn. Then I used my aqua painter and water colored the image with Calypso Coral, Peach Parfait and Lucky Limeade. Then I cut the image out. I took a piece of Confetti Cream and stamped the greeting from Friendly Phrases in black StazOn at the bottom and attached this to a piece of Lucky Limeade. This panel is then popped up onto a card base of Confetti Cream. Then I took a strip of Calypso Coral and flagged both ends before gluing it to the card. Then I took a piece of Peach Parfait and ran it through the Big Shot with the Labels framelits die. I sponged it with Peach Parfait before popping it up on the card. The cut out flowers are then popped up on the label. The final touch was to add some pearls. And there you have it!

A Hero's Birthday

Good morning everyone! I am really glad that we are already at the middle of this week! It is a really cold morning here and I can feel a sort of head cold coming on. Ugh! I do hope that finds its way out, and soon! I have a lot that I want to do this week and I hope that I can find the time to do it all!

Today's card is one that I made for a young man serving in our military. His mom is a good friend of mine and she asked me (and some others) to make a birthday card for her son who is serving overseas. She told me that her son has spent seven of his last eleven birthdays serving overseas. WOW! I have met him once and from what my friend, Kim, tells me, he is very serious about what he does! He absolutely loves what he does and works very hard. So I considered it an honor to send him a birthday card. His birthday is next week but I wanted to make sure he got it in plenty of time. I took a piece of Crumb Cake and ran it through the Big Shot with the stripes embossing folder and the sponged the edges with Crumb Cake ink. I attached this to a piece of Riding Hood Red and popped it up on a card base of Crumb Cake. I ran a piece of Not Quite Navy through the Big Shot with the stars die. I attached the largest star to the card and then took a smaller start, but a silver brad in it and then popped it p on the card. Then I took a strip of Crumb Cake and stamped the greeting from Happiest Birthday Wishes in Early Espresso. I flagged one end and then sponged the edges with Crumb Cake. Good morning, Friends! I hope your week got off to a great start! After a day off yesterday it is back to the routine around here. This week we get to add soccer practices to our schedule as the soccer team prepares for a tournament in Phoenix in a few weeks!

Today's card was inspired by a sketch from CPS. This sketch was from a few weeks ago but I loved the simplicity of it and wanted to give it a try. Having Valentine's Day on the brain, here is what I came up with. My card base is Whisper White that I ran through the Big Shot with the edgelits embossing folder. I rounded the bottom corners with the corner rounder and attached a strip of Riding Hood Red. On scrap Whisper White I stamped two hearts from I {Heart} Hearts in Blushing Bride and Riding Hood Red and cut them out. On a piece of Blushing Bride I stamped the greeting from Grateful Greetings in Basic Grey and then attached the Blushing Bride heart to that before popping that piece up on the card. Then I popped up the Riding Hood Red heart over the that. I punched a flower from Blushing Bride using the itty bitty shapes punch pack and added a rhinestone. Basic Love

Good morning everyone! Well, we are home once again! We got home late last night. Well, not real late but late for old people who don't like driving in the dark - lol! We would have stayed another night but a storm was forecasted to come in and we didn't want to drive in the snow. When I woke up this morning I see that it is very cloudy and wet looking. So that probably means snow in the mountains. I think we made a good choice. Nick's basketball team was able to win their last game so that was exciting for them! And all the games were very exciting and close! Not bad for a team that has only been together for two months!

Today's card was inspired by an older card that my friend Becky did in her card class. It is super simple!! I took a piece of Basic Grey and ran it through the Big Shot with the edgelits die to make the scallops. Then I glued a piece of the Twitterpated designer paper to that. I tied a piece of Whisper White taffeta ribbon to cover the seams. I added three white brads just above the ribbon and glued this to the front of a Whisper White card base. At the bottom of the card I stamped the greeting from Outlined Occasions in Basic Grey and colored the hearts with a Riding Hood Red marker. Then I used the heart to heart punch to punch the three hearts from Riding Hood Red card stock. I glue dotted the smallest one down and the other two are popped up. Done! Good morning everyone! Well, the two games that I cared about the most didn't turn out the way I had wanted. Bummer for the Broncos but I am looking forward to seeing what next year will hold for them! As for Nick's basketball team, they played awesome! But they ended up just losing at the very end. I think they should be very proud of themselves. So we are up early, had our breakfast and now we are packing up to head to the next game. We will see what happens! Just a lot of fun!!

Today's card was one I made for the shoebox club I am in. My card base is Pool Party which I ran through the Big Shot with the new edgelits embossing folder (they are little hearts - too cute). Then I attached a piece of Calypso Coral card stock. On a piece of Very Vanilla I stamped the heart from I {Heart} Hearts. I wrapped a piece of Calypso Coral ribbon from the Everyday Enchantment ribbon and brad pack (from the SAB brochure). This is attached to a piece of Calypso Coral. I punched three holes for silver brads and then popped this up on the card. I stamped another heart from the same set on Very Vanilla scrap paper in Calypso Coral and cut it out. This was popped up onto the card. Then I stamped the greeting from Teeny Tiny Wishes in Pool Party onto the card base. Thanks for stopping by and have a super day!

Good morning, Friends! Are you ready for a great weekend? We will be heading to Denver later this morning because Nick has a basketball tournament over there. The bummer part about this is that his first game is later this evening when our beloved Broncos will be playing. We have told him that we may have to stay at the hotel and watch the Broncos - lol! No really... And then again, maybe we really don't want to watch? So I said that we could watch the beginning and see how they are doing and then if they aren't doing well, we could go and watch Nick. I know... Bad parents. But he will be well cared for by his coaches. O.k. we will continue to think about it. Too many exciting things going on!

Today's card was inspired by one I saw on the Hero Arts blog. I love clean and simple cards and this one definitely fits the bill! My card base is Whisper White to which I rounded the corners on the top and bottom of the right hand side. Then I stamped the dotted outline heart in Riding Hood Red. I attached a piece of designer paper from the Twitterpated pack and flagged one end. On scrap pieces of Whisper White I stamped two other hearts (all images are from the I {Heart} Hearts set) - one in Baja Breeze and the other in Blushing Bride, and cut them out. I attached the Baja Breeze one with glue dots because the glue dots gives just a hint of dimension instead of gluing it down flat. The Blushing Bride heart is popped up. My final touch was to punch a flower from Riding Hood Red using the itty bitty shapes punch pack and add a rhinestone. And it's done! Thanks so much for stopping by and have a super day!

Good Friday morning everyone! I hope you are ready to play along with us this week at Sketch Frenzy Friday! This week's sketch is provided by Tammy Fite. Take a look!

A super simple, very fun sketch! SO many possibilities with this one! And here is what I came up with!

I just got some new goodies to play with and one of thing I ordered was the Tea Shoppe stamp set. I just love the tea cups in this set! I drink more coffee than tea but these could certainly be used for coffee as well! What I did was to start by stamping the three cups onto scraps of Confetti Cream card stock in Pool Party, Daffodil Delight, and Soft Suede. Then I cut them out. Then I took a strip of Soft Suede and scalloped one end with the scallop edge border punch. I glued a piece of designer paper from the Attic Boutique designer paper pack to this and tied a piece of Pool Party seam binding ribbon around it. I glued the Pool Party cup and the Daffodil Delight cup to this strip. I popped the strip up onto a card base of textured Pool Party. I stamped the greeting in Soft Suede onto the card. Then I popped up the Soft Suede cup in between the other two. My finishing touch was to punch a flower from Poppy Parade card stock with the itty bitty shapes punch pack and attach it to the Soft Suede cup and added a pearl. Sweet and simple!

Hello All! Another week seems to be flying by! It's Thursday already and time for another fabulous challenge from the Create with Connie and Mary team! This week we have a sketch challenge! Take a look!

What a very fun sketch!! And simple, too! Love that! Here is what I came up with!

I truly do not have many Valentine sets but this little greeting from the Outlined Occasions set is just too cute! The greeting here is actually two separate stamps! These will be stamps that you can choose for FREE from the upcoming Sale-A-Bration brochure! That will start on January 24th! Back to the card... So I took a piece of Whisper White and stamped the two greetings from Outlined Occasions. I colored it in with Blushing Bride and Riding Hood Red markers. Then I glued down a thin strip of Basic Grey. I added six hearts from Riding Hood Red that were punched with the Heart to Heart punch. I glued this panel to a piece of Riding Hood Red that was scalloped with the scallop edge border punch. This panel is popped up onto the a card base of Blushing Bride. The last thing I did was to punch a heart from Blushing Bride card stock with the Heart to Heart punch and pop it up onto the card with a rhinestone! Really easy!!

Vintage Postage

Good morning everyone! I hope your week is off to a great start! I got my grocery shopping done yesterday and did the laundry and did a little something for dinner and even made some cookies! I was pretty exhausted! Looks like today I need to get some crafting time in! And I think some new toys should be delivered today as well! Yea!!

Today's card was inspired by an older PaperCraft's magazine. I took a piece of Very Vanilla and adhered a piece of designer paper from the Everyday Enchantment designer paper pack. I stamped the greeting from Perfectly Penned in Soft Suede in the bottom right hand corner. Then I attached a strip of Lucky Limeade that I had punched with the scallop trim border punch. On a piece of scrap Very Vanilla I stamped the image from Fresh Vintage in Lucky Limeade three times. I cut these out and attached them to squares of Soft Suede that were punched with the postage stamp punch. Then I stamped the small flower onto a scrap of Very Vanilla in Calypso Coral and cut these out. I put a mini brad in each one and used a glue dot to attach these to the squares. The squares are popped up along the strip of Lucky Limeade. Then I wrapped a piece of Very Vanilla seam binding ribbon this panel and used dimensionals to pop it up onto a card base of Very Vanilla. Good morning, Friends! I hope you all had a fabulous weekend! Last night's football game was a-m-a-z-i-n-g!!! I practically lost my voice cheering for that one!! My son is a Steeler's fan so he wasn't as excited as his dad and I. That was a fun one!!!

Today's card was inspired by an older PaperCrafts magazine. I took a piece of Whisper White and cut it down a bit. Then I glued three strips of designer paper from the Twitterpated designer paper pack and glued them down. Then I took a piece of the Blushing Bride pleated ribbon and glued it to the bottom of the strips. I stamped the greeting from Friendly Phrases in Basic Grey and popped the panel onto a Whisper White card base. Then I took a piece of Whisper White and ran it through the Big Shot with the labels framelits die to cut a label. I stamps the sprig of flowers from Bordering on Romance in black StazOn and colored it in with Baja Breeze, Blushing Bride and Pear Pizzazz. I also stamped a flower on a piece of scrap Whisper White, colored it in and cut it out. I popped this up on the die cut label and then popped the label up on the card. The last thing I did was to add some pearls to the flower centers. I just love these colors! So soft and pretty! Thanks for stopping by and have a super day!

Good morning, Friends! Well we went from a dark and dreary day yesterday to a bright and sunny day today! I am starting to get a little worried that we won't be seeing any snow around here this winter. And it hasn't been as cold as in years past, either. Not complaining, so much, but we do need the moisture. Still a lot of winter left. We will have to see what happens!

Today's card was inspired by a card I saw in an older PaperCrafts magazine. A good friend of mine had a birthday last week and I sent her this card. Of course it was late (and she may not have gotten it yet). Happy Birthday, Kim! I liked the idea of using the new framelits in a different way. I took a piece of the new Everyday Enchantment designer paper and ran it through the Big Shot with one of the labels framelits dies. Then I took a piece of Very Vanilla card stock and stamped the greeting from Elementary Elegance in Poppy Parade. I put some dimensionals on the back of my patterned piece (around the opening) and centered my greeting through the window. Then I wrapped some Very Vanilla seam binding ribbon around this before popping the whole thing up on my card base of Poppy Parade. Then I added some pearls around the sides of the frame. The last thing I did was to stamp a butterfly in Poppy Parade on Very Vanilla and cut it out. It is attached with a glue dot and the wings are gently bent up. A very simple card! Good morning everyone! I hope that your first week of the new year was great! I am glad that it was a short one of waking up early! It was sure nice to sleep in today. Especially since the weather is sort of dreary today. Not used to that as it has been so nice around here! You wouldn't think it was even winter! I do hope the mountains get some snow because they are kind of hurting for it right now.

Today's card is one I did for a recent swap I was in. The swap was to showcase the new products in the Occasions mini. I do like how this one turned out! My card base is Blushing Bride. Then I cut a piece of Whisper White and stamped the greeting from Friendly Phrases in the bottom right hand corner in Basic Grey. This piece was glued to a piece of Basic Grey and the glued to the card front. Then I cut a piece of the Twitterpated designer paper and flagged both ends before gluing it down to the Whisper White piece. Then I used the new labels framelits dies and cut a label from Whisper White. I popped this up on the card. For my flower I stamped the image from Mixed Bunch in Blushing Bride onto Whisper White and cut it out by hand. Then I adhered it to a flower that I punched from Riding Hood Red with the blossom punch. I only put adhesive in the middle of the flower and then gently curled the edges of the petals to give it a little more dimension. This part is popped up on the label. Then I stamped the flower center with Riding Hood Red onto Whisper White and cut it out. I put a silver brad through the center and then popped this up in the center of the flower. Good morning everyone! Are you glad it's Friday? Well, I hope you are when you see the newest sketch from the team at Sketch Frenzy Friday! This week's sketch was created by Tammy Baldwin. Take a look!

And here is what I did with it!

When I saw the sketch, it was very easy for me to figure out what I wanted to do! I grabbed my new SAB set and went to work. This card is very clean and simple but I am sure happy with how it all turned out! I took a piece of Crumb Cake and stamped the image from Elementary Elegance in Early Espresso. Then I adhered this to a piece of Early Espresso card stock and popped it up on a card base of Crumb Cake. I took a thin strip of Early Espresso card stock and flagged both ends and glued it to the card. I stamped the greeting from the same set in Early Espresso on Crumb Cake and punched it out with the curly label punch. I sponged the edges of this in Crumb Cake and popped it up on the card. The last thing I did was to take some pearls and line them up on either side of the image. Simple!

Good morning everyone! I hope your week is going great! It's time once again for a fun challenge at Create with Connie and Mary! This week we are being challenged with color. Take a look at these lovely colors!

The challenge colors are Blushing Bride, Pool Party and Soft Suede. I love this combination!! And this is how I used these beautiful colors!

Time to put some Valentine cards together! This is a very clean and simple layout. I started with a piece of Blushing Bride. I stamped the Solid Stripes single stamp across the bottom in Blushing Bride ink. Then I stamped the greeting from Grateful Greetings in Soft Suede. I tied a piece of Pool Party seam binding ribbon around this and glued it to a piece of Pool Party card stock. This whole panel is popped up on a card base of Soft Suede. Then I took a piece of Soft Suede and ran it through the Big Shot with the scalloped heart of hearts embosslit. I punched a piece of Pool Party with the full heart punch. I sponged the edges in Pool Party and glued it to the Soft Suede heart. Then I punched a small heart from Blushing Bride using the itty bitty shapes punch pack. I popped this up on the other hearts and added a pearl. There you have it!

My card starts off with a card base of Whisper White. Then I cut down another piece of Whisper White and adhered it to piece of Pear Pizzazz and popped it up onto the card base. Then I attached a piece of designer paper from the Twitterpated designer paper pack with one end flagged. Then I used Labels framelits die and cut a label from Whisper White card stock. I stamped the image from Bordering on Romance in black StazOn inside the label and then again on a scrap piece of Whisper White. I watercolored both images with an aqua painter and Blushing Bride, Pear Pizzazz, Riding Hood Red and Island Indigo ink pads. I cut out the cluster of three flowers from the scrap piece and popped them up on the stamped image on the label. The label is then popped up on the card. I added three pearls to the flower centers. Then I stamped the greeting from Happiest Birthday Wishes in black StazOn on a strip of Whisper White and flagged one end. This is glued to the label.

Wonderful Blossom

Good morning everyone! This is the last day that I can sleep in. Bummer. And Nick doesn't think it is so great, either. His vacation will end today and tomorrow he goes back to school and starts the third quarter. I can't believe that he is so close to being a seventh grader! What happened? Time to get back to a routine for all of us. And that IS a good thing - lol!! I was so glad to find time to stamp a few cards yesterday.

Today's card was inspired by a PaperCrafts magazine. I went through some of my old magazines yesterday to see if I could find some inspiration. And I did! It's fun to re-visit some of those. This is a really simple card, too. My card base is Pear Pizzazz. I added two strips of designer paper from the Twitterpated designer paper pack and then stamped the greeting from Friendly Phrases above those. Then I punched a circle from Basic Grey card stock with the 2 1/2" circle punch and stamped a flower image from the Mixed Bunch set with Basic Grey ink. For my flower I punched two flowers using the blossom punch and Blushing Bride card stock. Then I took my bone folder and curled the petals until the fibers in the paper weakened. Then I could carefully separate the petals. Makes it look like there are more flowers, doesn't it? I adhered the flowers together. Then I stamped the flower center image in Basic Grey ink on Whisper White card stock and cut it out. I glued it to the center and added a Basic Grey button with some white baker's twine. The flower is glued to the circle and then popped up on the card. Something a little different for me and a lot of fun! Thanks for stopping by and have a super day!

Good morning, Friends! I hope your New Year is off to a great start! I think this is still considered vacation to many of you. I am looking forward to watching the Rose Parade and football games today!! I always love watching the Rose Parade. Such beautiful floats! And it is always interesting to see what they use. Nick has been getting a bedroom make-over and it should be done today. Pat and Nick have been working hard on it and it looks pretty good! Now if I could just get a craft room make-over...

Today's card uses some great new products! You will soon be able to order these, too!! My card base is Very Vanilla. Then I cut a piece of Soft Suede and attached two different designs from the Attic Boutique designer paper pack. Then I added a strip of Daffodil Delight with both ends flagged. This was to cover up the seams. This whole panel is popped up on the card. Then I cut a piece of Very Vanilla with the labels framelits die and glued it down. Then I stamped the image from Apothecary Art onto Very Vanilla with Soft Suede ink. I colored in the flowers with Pool Party and a blender pen. Then I cut around the image. I stamped the greeting on a strip of Very Vanilla in Soft Suede and flagged both ends of this before gluing it down. This frame is popped up onto the first frame. Good morning, Friends and HAPPY NEW YEAR!!! We had a quiet evening last night. We got home early evening (picked up our dinner on the way). Then unpacked (the part I hate the most) and then watched some football. After the game we were so tired that we went to bed. Looks like the new year came in just fine - lol! I hope you all had a very safe and fun time celebrating!

Today's card is one that I copied from the Stampin' Success magazine. This magazine is one that Stampin' Up! demonstrators get every month that is filled with beautiful samples and ideas along with great business advice. I saw this card and knew I had to make one, too. The card base is Very Vanilla. Then I cut another piece of Very Vanilla and stamped the images from Fresh Vintage in Lucky Limeade, Pool Party, and Soft Suede. Then I sponged around the edges with Soft Suede and used my color spritzer and Soft Suede marker to add some "splatter". Then I took a piece of designer paper from the Everyday Enchantment pack and flagged one end before adhering it to the stamped piece. Then I popped up the panel onto the card. I stamped the flower image onto a scrap piece of Very Vanilla and cut around it and glued it to a Soft Suede piece that had been punched with the blossom bouquet triple layer punch. I used the Everyday Enchantment ribbon and brad pack to add a brad to the center and popped it up on the card. Then I stamped the greeting from Thank You Kindly in Soft Suede on a strip of Very Vanilla and glued it to the card. A super simple card! Thanks for stopping by and have a super day!

Good morning, Friends! I am pre-posting this as we will be up early this morning and driving back to Colorado! What a great visit we had!

Today's card was inspired by a card I saw in the recent PaperCrafts magazine. Mine doesn't look anything like the magazine one, but the card I saw inspired me to use some of my new products. I started with a card base of Whisper White. I cut down another piece of Whisper White and glued a piece of the Blushing Bride pleated satin ribbon to it. Then I stamped the greeting from Friendly Phrases in Island Indigo right above that. I popped this up on the card base. Then I stamped the flower from Mixed Bunch on a scrap piece of Whisper White in Island Indigo and punched it out with the Blossom punch. I colored in the flower with the Blushing Bride marker. I also punched a flower using the same punch from Island Indigo. I attached these two punched flowers together and popped them up on the card. Then I ran some linen thread through a Baja Breeze button (from the new Twitterpated designer buttons) and glued that to the center of the flowers. The last thing I did was to curl the edges of the flower petals to give it some more dimension. A super simple card! Thanks for stopping by and have a super day!

Good Friday morning everyone! Wow! The 2011 year is about to close out! I can hardly believe it! I hope you are having a wonderful holiday season! And I hope that you will find some time to play along with us at Sketch Frenzy Friday. This week's sketch was created by Sharon Wheet. Take a look!

And here is what I came up with!

Since I made most of these cards before I left for Christmas vacation, I needed to remind myself that I should make cards other than Christmas. It's hard for me to shift gears like that. So to make it easier for me, I turned to the Create a Cupcake set and coordinating cupcake builder punch. I can always count on these two things to help me create a quick, easy and cute card! I started with a card base of Blushing Bride. Then I adhered a piece of Poppy Parade that I had run through the Big Shot with the Perfect Polka Dots embossing folder. Then I took a piece of Early Espresso and adhered a piece of designer paper from the Just Add Cake pack. Around this I wrapped a piece of Poppy Parade poly twill ribbon. I added a tail that is tied with a piece of white baker's twine. This panel is popped up on the card. Then I punched a piece of Early Espresso with the 2 3/8" scallop circle punch. I adhered a piece of Whisper White card stock that was cut with the circles #2 die. This is popped up onto the card. Then I stamped the cupcake top in Blushing Bride and the cupcake bottom in Wild Wasabi onto Whisper White and punched them out with the cupcake builder punch. These were popped up on the circle. Then I punched out a heart from Poppy Parade and adhered it to the cupcake. I stamped the greeting in Early Espresso onto the card and added three little rhinestones.

Good morning everyone! I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas! It's time for another great challenge at Create with Connie and Mary! This week is a sketch challenge. I hope you will be able to find some time to play along with us! Take a look at this fun sketch!

And here is what I decided to do!

I had to make another snowman card and I do like the way this one turned out! I started with a card base of Riding Hood Red. Then I started with the different blocks from the sketch. The scallop edge is Island Indigo punched with the dotted ribbon scallop punch. Over this is a strip of Island Indigo designer paper. The Whisper White card stock has the snowman stamped from Snow Much Fun in black StazOn. Then I colored him with Blushing Bride, Riding Hood Red, Basic Grey, and Pumpkin Pie markers. Then I stamped the snowball four more times on a scrap piece of Whisper White and cut them out. I popped these up to look like he was juggling them. These are attached with glue dots. Then I ran a piece of Basic Grey card stock and ran it through the Big Shot with the Snow Burst embossing folder. The flagged piece is Blushing Bride with the greeting stamped in black StazOn. This is popped up over the seam. The snowflake is cut with the Northern Flurry decorative strip die from the silver glimmer paper. I popped this up and added a Basic Grey button with some white baker's twine. A fun card for the upcoming winter months!

Good morning everyone! I can't believe the weather we are having for December! It is supposed to get into the 50's!! That is kind of nice as we can kick the kiddos outside to play for a while. They tend to get cabin fever when they have to stay inside for too long - lol! We have just a few more days with my parents and then we will be heading home. Time just goes so fast!

Today's card was inspired by one of Karen Giron's sketches. It was a few weeks ago but it helped me use some of my new supplies! My card base is Crumb Cake with a layer of Very Vanilla and then another layer of Crumb Cake. On top of this layer I adhered three pieces of designer paper from the Everyday Enchantment pack. Then I cut a piece of Very Vanilla with the new Paper Doily sizzlet. Isn't it pretty? Then I cut a piece of Crumb Cake with the 3" circle die. On this I stamped the image from Fresh Vintage stamp set using Lucky Limeade, Poppy Parade, Daffodil Delight, Baja Breeze and Soft Suede markers. I sponged the edges of the circle with Crumb cake and popped it up on the doily. Then I took a strip of Baja Breeze and flagged one end and glued it to the circle. I carefully stamped the greeting from Teeny Tiny Wishes in Soft Suede on the circle. My final touch was to add a Very Vanilla button with some Lucky Limeade ribbon from the Everyday Enchantment ribbon and brad back. Thanks for stopping by and have a super day!

Enchanting Birthday

Good morning, Friends! I am sure you can tell that I am having a fantabulous time with my family! My posts are getting later and later in the day - lol! I love to sit around the table in the morning sipping my coffee and talking with everyone. This is something that I will miss when I have to go home.

Today's card uses some new products! I decided that I would start showing some new products from the upcoming Occasions and SAB catalogs. You are going to fall in love with these wonderful products!! While this card is not my favorite, I like the idea. I started with a card base of Very Vanilla. Then I cut down a piece of Very Vanilla and a piece of Calypso Coral and adhered them together. I wrapped a piece of Calypso Coral ribbon (from the new SAB catalog) around this three times and tied it. This piece is then popped up onto the card. Then I punched two flowers with the Blossom punch (from the new Occasions mini catalog) from new designer paper from the SAB catalog. Please forgive me for not knowing the names. I will look them up and put them in the recipe. The two flowers are glued together and then I curled up the ends and popped it up on the card. Then I stamped the flower center from the Mixed Bunch set onto Very Vanilla with Soft Suede and cut it out. Then I glued it to a 1" circle that was punched from Soft Suede. Then I used a new brad from the SAB catalog to put in the center. This is popped up on the card. Finally, I stamped the greeting from Teeny Tiny Wishes in Soft Suede onto the card (I actually recommend that you stamp this before popping up the panel). Simple and cute! Good morning, Friends! I hope you all had a most wonderful Christmas! I know I sure did! And, of course, I ate way too much! Yum!! I think my brother leaves today so that will be sad. I am not sure what our plans are for the day. I am thinking that I will need to do some laundry.

Today's card is one that I did with my stamp club this month. This is a super easy card. I wanted to keep it really simple so that the beautiful Morning Mocha paper would take center stage! I started with a card base of Soft Suede card stock. Then I added a piece of Very Vanilla card stock. Then I took a piece of Crumb Cake and scalloped one end of it, added a piece of Soft Suede and then a piece of the Morning Mocha designer paper. Then I tied a piece of the Soft Suede taffeta ribbon around this and popped it up on the card. Then I took a piece of Very Vanilla card stock and ran it through the Big Shot using the Designer Frames embossing folder. I cut around the oval and lightly sponged the edges with Crumb Cake ink. I stamped the greeting from Sincere Salutations in Soft Suede onto a scrap piece of Crumb Cake and punched it out with the extra large oval punch. I lightly sponged the edges with Crumb Cake in and glued it inside the oval. The oval is popped up onto the card. The final touch was to add five small pearls. There you have it! Good morning everyone! And Merry Christmas to you all! I didn't get Christmas cards sent out this year so this is my card to everyone. Maybe next year - lol! For my card, I started with a card base of Concord Crush (haven't used this color in quite a while). Then I adhered a piece of Very Vanilla. Then I cut another piece of Concord Crush and stamped the Medallion stamp on it with VersaMark. I put clear embossing powder on it and embossed it. Then I cut a piece of Very Vanilla card stock and cut a circle using the circles #2 die and stamped the word 'peace' from Four the Holidays stamp set in Concord Crush. Then I used the Movers and Shapers/Holiday Windows die to cut the dove from the beautiful silver glimmer paper. I popped this up onto the card and added a few random rhinestones. Good morning everyone! Happy Christmas Eve! I am thoroughly enjoying my stay at my mom's!! Already I am eating too much! So this morning I decided that I was going to do a little workout on the treadmill. Now I can eat some more - lol!! Anyway, we are here and the weather is looking great (a little chilly, though)! Not sure what the plan is for today but that is o.k.! I am pretty sure we will be watching some football!

Today's card is one that I did for my stamp club this month. I used an older sketch from Karen Giron. I love the way this one turned out! These snowmen are just so stinkin' cute! And you don't have to use them for just Christmas. This card could be used any time of the year! I started with a card base of Cherry Cobbler. Then I cut down another piece of Cherry Cobbler and adhered a piece of Frostwood Lodge designer paper. Then I took a piece of Marina Mist and ran it through the Big Shot using the Snow Burst embossing folder and glued onto the designer paper. Then I tied a piece of the beautiful Cherry Cobbler quilted satin ribbon around this and attached this panel to the card base. I took a piece of Whisper White card stock and stamped the snowman in black StazOn. I also stamped him again on another piece of Whisper White, colored him and cut him out. He got popped up onto the "flat" snowman and then the panel was glued to a piece of Cherry Cobbler. I popped this panel up over the ribbon. Then I stamped the greeting in black StazOn and flagged one end. This was glued to the snowman panel. Thanks for stopping by! have a fantastic day!!

Good morning, Friends! It's Friday! And Christmas is only two days away! We are with my family right now and it is SO nice! Time to relax and enjoy each other's company! But I do want to remind you that there is a new sketch challenge at Sketch Frenzy Friday! This week's sketch was created by Robbie Rubala. Take a look!

Cute!! And different! I wasn't sure what I was going to do with that curvy area. But after going through my stamps I got an idea! Take a look!

Now, my curve goes the other direction than the sketch, but it is still the same idea. And I do love the way this turned out! My card base is textured Basic Grey. I stamped the image from Come to Bethlehem in black StazOn onto Basic Grey (being careful to not ink up the star part of the image) and cut the curved area by hand. I attached this to a piece of the beautiful silver glimmer paper. Then I cut a piece of Basic Black and attached a piece of the beautiful flocked paper from the Mocha Morning designer paper to the bottom and my stamped image is glued to the Basic Black piece. The Basic Black taffeta ribbon is tied around all this to hide the seam between the silver glimmer and the flocked papers. Then I popped this panel up onto my card base. The last thing I did was to stamp the star part of the image onto the back side of the silver glimmer paper and cut it out. I then popped this up on the card.

Hello Friends! Are you ready for Christmas? It won't be long now!! We are on our way to Kansas to spend Christmas with my family. We will get there later tonight and then my sister and her family and my brother will be coming this weekend. I am looking forward to a really restful few days! Even though I am on the road for the next several hours, it is still Thursday and time for another great challenge at Create with Connie and Mary. This week they are challenging us with color. Take a look!

This isn't a lot of color but it is still fabulous and I found it quite challenging! The challenge colors are Whisper White and Silver Glimmer. I did make a few different cards but decided I liked this one best. Take a look!

I did decided that I needed to add black for the greeting. My card base is Whisper White. The next layer is also Whisper White that I ran through the Big Shot with the Northern Flurry embossing folder. Then I took a piece of Whisper White organza ribbon and taped one end behind this piece and glued the piece to the card base. I tacked the ribbon to the front of the card and flagged the bottom. I punched a piece of the silver glimmer paper with the scallop circle punch and popped it up over the ribbon. I stamped the greeting from Season of Joy onto Whisper White and punched it out with the 1 3/4" circle punch. I popped this up onto the silver scallop piece. And that's allI did! Very simple but elegant!

Good morning, Friends! I can't believe there are only a few more days until Christmas! Here we celebrate Christmas a little unconventional like - lol! We travel to Kansas to see my family at Christmas so we have to make Christmas at different times. Sunday, we celebrated with my husband's family that live around here. His parents are traveling to Kansas as I type! And since we will be traveling tomorrow, we celebrated last night and this morning. Yesterday was Nick's last day for the quarter and now we are on vacation! Today I will get my haircut, do mounds of laundry and get packed!

Today's card is one that I did with my stamp club this month. I wanted to stay away from Christmas cards so I did a birthday card. I am sure you know how much I love this cupcake set and coordinating punch! It makes super easy and cute cards! I started with a card base of Whisper White. Then I took another piece of Whisper White and ran it through the Big Shot with the Perfect Polka Dots embossing folder. To this I attached a piece of designer paper from the Just Add Cake pack. Then I tied a piece of Baja Breeze 1/8" taffeta ribbon around it before adhering it to the card. I punched a scallop circle from Peach Parfait. I used my circles #2 die to cut the circle from Whisper White. These two are glued together and then popped up on the card. Then I stamped the cupcake bottom in Early Espresso onto Whisper White and the cupcake top in Peach Parfait and punched them out with the Cupcake builder punch. These are popped up onto the circle. My final touch was to punch a little flower from Baja Breeze using the Itty Bitty Shapes Punch Pack. This is attached to the cupcake with a glue dot and a rhinestone is added for some bling! Cute! Control Freaks Blog Tour - Occasions Mini

Hello everyone! And welcome to another Freaky blog tour!! Maybe you just came from the wonderfully talented Barb Mullikin! Or maybe you visit me on a regular basis. However you got here I hope you enjoy your visit and then decide to make the rounds for this fantastic blog tour! This month the Freaks are going to be showing off some of the most fantastic products from the upcoming Occasions mini catalog! You are going to LOVE them all!!! Please note that if you are visiting before the 20th, some of the links may not be working. Be sure to come back on the 20th to go through the entire tour without any hiccups!

So for my first project I used a new product that I am SO super excited about and a new stamp set. Take a look!

The new stamp set that I used for this card is called Apothecary Art. It is such a beautiful and elegant set! I am so excited to really sit down and play with it! If you look at the card, you will notice that the stamp has a fun shape to it. Well, the new product that Stampin' Up! created to go with this set is the new Framelits dies!!! Yippppeeee!!!! And they are so super easy to use. I started with a card base of Soft Suede and then added a piece of So Saffron that was run through the Big Shot with the Vintage Wallpaper embossing folder. I cut a smaller piece of Soft Suede and used my ticket corner punch on the four corners. I ran this piece through the Big Shot with the Vintage Wallpaper embossing folder and then attached a piece of Pear Pizzazz to the back of this and then popped it up on the card. I stamped the image from Apothecary Art onto Very Vanilla with Soft Suede ink and then colored the image with So Saffron and Pear Pizzazz markers. Then I used the new Labels Framelits dies (I picked the appropriate size) and ran it through the Big Shot to cut the frame! It is really so easy! I stamped the greeting (also from the same set) on a scrap of Very Vanilla and then attached it to the frame. I popped up the frame onto the card and added several pearls of various sizes to the centers of the flowers!

For my second project, I decided to try something that I had seen on Pinterest. I had several little mason jars sitting around just waiting for me to do something with them! So I decided to make a votive holder using some fabulous new fabric that will be in the new Occasions mini catalog. I love this fabric! Such fun prints and colors!! So this is what the front looks like.

And then I tried to give you a little peek as to what the inside might look like, too. Please note that I do not have a burning candle in there!! It is just a battery operated candle. I am a little too scared to try a burning candle!!

So what I did for this was to cut strips of this fabulous new fabric called Twitterpated - cute name, right! I love this fabric (did I say this already?)! Anyway, I used Mod Podge and applied it to the front of the fabric and glued it to the inside of the jar (so the printed side was facing out). I wasn't too worried about the strips overlapping or having a little gap here and there. How cute would it be to have several of these in the different prints around the house or lining the shelves? I was even thinking of finding a way to hang them. Lots of possibilities!

Thinking Mocha

Good morning, Friends! I had every intention of posting yesterday but ran out of time. We had to get Nick to the gym early yesterday for his basketball tournament. The team played three games yesterday. They won one and lost two. They didn't play terrible for a team that has been together for only a few short weeks! Then we came home for just a few moments and bundled up for a baseball fundraiser at our local parade of lights. The boys sold hot chocolate and cookies. Didn't make a ton of money but didn't do too bad either! Today we will be at the gym early again for two more games and then we go up to the 'ranch' where Pat's family is and have an early Christmas. Since we are all heading out of town later this week, we are getting together for a little Christmas! Very exciting! Anyway, it has been a busy weekend!!

Today's card is one that I made a while ago. Not a favorite but there are things that I like about it. As I look at it, I do wish that I had paid better attention and made the stripes match. But I love these colors!! And I love the Mocha Morning designer paper!! My card base is Early Espresso with a layer of Crumb Cake that was run through the Big Shot with the Tulip Frame embossing folder. Then I cut a piece of Early Espresso and scalloped one end and tied a piece of Very Vanilla seam binding ribbon around it. I cut four squares of Mocha Morning designer paper, rounded the corners and glued them onto the Early Espresso piece. This panel is popped up on the card. Then I cut a square of Crumb Cake and stamped the tree from Thoughts and Prayers in Crumb Cake and the greeting in Early Espresso. I also sponged the edges in Crumb Cake. Good Friday morning everyone! I hope you are ready for another sketch challenge from Sketch Frenzy Friday! This week's sketch is from Patrice Herrera. Take a look!

And here is how it inspired me.

My card base is Cherry Cobbler with a piece of Crumb Cake layered on top. Then I took a piece of Marina mist and ran it through the Big Shot a couple of times - first with the scallop circles #2 die and then with the Snow Burst embossing folder. I popped this up on the card. Then I punched a stocking with the stocking builder punch from the Frostwood Lodge designer paper. I punched another stocking from Whisper White card stock. I took the Whisper White pieces and layered them on the designer stocking and then popped it up on the scallop circle. Then I used some Cherry Cobbler baker's twine and tied two mini jingle bells together and glued them to the stocking. The last thing I did was to stamp the greeting in Early Espresso at the bottom. Pretty easy!!

And here is what I created!

The sketch is a square card but I made mine a regular card size. That's why I like sketch challenges so much! I started with a card base of Marina Mist and then added a strip of Frostwood Lodge designer paper. On top of this is a piece of Cherry Cobbler that was run through the Big Shot using the Snow Burst embossing folder. Then I stamped the snowman from Snow Much Fun in black StazOn onto a piece of Whisper White that was cut with the 3" circle die. I colored the snowman with Marina Mist, Cherry Cobbler, Pumpkin Pie, and Basic Grey markers. This circle is glued to a piece of Marina Mist that was cut with the scallop circles #2 die and then popped up on the card. Then I stamped the greeting in black StazOn on a strip of Whisper White and flagged one end and tucked it under the circles. The last thing I did was to tie two mini jingle bells together with the Cherry Cobbler baker's twine and glue them to the circle. Cute, huh!!

Wasabi Wings

Good morning, Friends! I am finally back to posting again. We had some technical difficulties to deal with but I think that they are taken care of now. At least I hope so! I am truly done with my Christmas shopping - yea!! Now to wrap and enjoy the last few days remaining until Christmas! Nick has finished up his last quarter requirements and is waiting for break to start. I still can't believe how fast time has gone!!

Today's card was one that I did with my stamp club/mystery hostess workshop on Monday. I tried to stay away from Christmas cards at this workshop. I hadn't planned on going in a 'spring' direction either but I still liked how this one turned out! I took a piece of Confetti White card stock that was cut down and stamped the greeting from Just Believe in Wild Wasabi, then glued it to a piece of Wild Wasabi and the popped it up on a card base of Confetti White. Then I punched a circle from Confetti White with the 2 1/2" circle punch and stamps the leafy branch image from the same set in Wild Wasabi several times (and some without re-inking). I attached this to a piece of Wild Wasabi that I had cut with the Perfect Pennants die and then popped it up on the card. The final touch was to add a butterfly that I had die cut from Blushing Bride with the Beautiful Wings sizzlet. I put a mini brad in the middle and used a glue dot to attach it to the card. Good morning, Friends! I was so glad to be able to sleep in a little this morning! It felt soooo good to keep snuggling under the blankets with it being so cold outside! Now I am snuggling up to a hot cup of coffee. Yum!! Not much planned today. I'm just glad it's the weekend! We are going over to a friend's house tonight. I am making dinner and I am trying a new recipe. I am super excited! I'll let you know how it turns out.

Today's card was inspired by an older sketch of Karen Giron's. You can find it 'here'. This is a card that I did for a swap last month. Since I just got my cards back today, I thought it was more than safe to show you all. I really do like the way this one turned out! And it was really pretty easy!! I got my color inspiration from an older challenge at The Paper Players. It was to use Always Artichoke, River Rock and Riding Hood Red. I like how these colors make a more muted, aged Christmas card. My card base is River Rock and then I cut another piece of River Rock and a piece of Riding Hood Red that I ran through the Big Shot with the Snow Burst embossing folder. Then I wrapped some Always Artichoke seam binding ribbon around it and glued it to my card base Then I cut a piece of Always Artichoke with the scallop circles #2 die and a piece of River Rock with the 3" die. I sponged the edges of the River Rock piece with River Rock before adhering it to the scallop piece. This is popped up on the card and one end is cut off. I stamped the tree from Season of Joy in Always Artichoke and Early Espresso onto Very Vanilla and cut it out. This is popped up on the circle. Then I stamped the greeting, from the same set, in Always Artichoke onto Very Vanilla and flagged one end. The other end is glued onto the circle. The last thing I did was to color a rhinestone with a Sharpie marker and put it on my tree! And there you have it! Thanks for stopping by and enjoy your day!!

Good morning everyone! Are you glad it's Friday? I am!! Today we have another fun sketch challenge for you all from Sketch Frenzy Friday! Take a look at this fantastic sketch from Maria Vanderform!

I thought this was a fantastic opportunity to use up some of those scraps that I always seem to have lying around. Take a look at what I finally came up with.

I knew that I wanted to use the Snow Much Fun set (got to make as many cards as I can since I borrowed this set - lol)! So I took some of my In Color designer paper scraps - Pool Party and Island Indigo, and cut them in strips. I also threw in a strip of the beautiful silver glimmer paper. I glued these to a piece of Whisper White card stock and then glued the whole panel to a Whisper White card base. Then I stamped the image on a piece of Whisper White in black StazOn and colored him in with markers. This panel is glued to a piece of Basic Grey and then popped up on the card. I stamped the greeting in black StazOn onto Whisper White and flagged one end and put a brad through the other then glued it to the card. And there you have it!

Good morning everyone! It's time again for another fantastic challenge at Create with Connie and Mary! This week is a color challenge and just take a look at these very fun colors!!

The challenge colors are Poppy Parade, Lucky Limeade, and Basic Grey. The green and red spoke Christmas to me. And the grey fits right in with a silver look. Love it! So here is what I came up with.

I really do like the way this one turned out! Lucky Limeade and Poppy Parade are very bright so I used more of the Basic Grey to mute them a bit. This is one super simple card! My card base is Basic Grey. I stamped the Simple Snowflake stamp on it in Basic Grey and rounded the bottom corners. Then I took a strip of Whisper White and stamped the greeting from Word Play in black StazOn. I stamped it again on a scrap piece of Whisper White and colored the ornament with the Lucky Limeade and Poppy Parade markers and cut it out. This strip is layered onto a piece of Poppy Parade and then a piece of Lucky Limeade ruffled ribbon is tied around it and glued to the card. Then I took the cut out ornament and popped it up on the card (right over the original one). Easy!!

Good morning everyone! I think morning came a little too early today - lol! Guess I am ready for the weekend. It will get here soon enough. Can't wish the days away as I have a lot to do between now and then! Thanks to my wonderful husband, I think we have our Christmas shopping done! Yea!! I need to take Nick and go out looking for the hubby but that will be it! Our tree looks happy now!

Today's card is one that I just came up with from my own head. My friend, Becky, let me borrow her Snow Much Fun stamp set. This is one that I didn't get but I really like it. So I thought I should make a few cards before I have to send it back. This one is super simple. I stamped the snowman onto Whisper White card stock with black StazOn ink and colored him in with markers. This panel was layered onto a piece of Wild Wasabi and then popped up onto a Whisper White card base. Then I stamped the greeting in black StazOn onto a scrap piece of Whisper White and flagged one end and glued it to the card. The final touch was to add some rhinestones for his buttons. Good morning, Friends! Brrrr!!!! Baby it's cold outside! And in the house!! I think the temperature got down close to zero last night. So the fire feels really good right now! Thankfully, I put the flannel sheets on yesterday, too, so I slept really good! But I wanted to stay under the blankets a lot longer than I could. I was able to get a lot of stamping done yesterday and I am hoping to do the same today. I do need to start thinking about getting some Christmas presents done, too. The time is just flying by!!

Today's card was inspired by an older sketch at Stamping 411. It kind of looks like another one that I did a while ago but I did use different colors on this one. I rather like the way it turned out, too! My card base is Crumb Cake. The squares start with Early Espresso and then a piece from the Frostwood Lodge designer paper that was cut with the Scallop Squares duo die and then a piece of Whisper White. On the Whisper White piece I stamped the greeting from Bells and Boughs in Early Espresso. Then I wrapped a piece of Cherry Cobbler baker's twine around the squares and tied on some mini jingle bells. I love those little jingle bells!! Then I popped them up on the card. On a scrap piece of Whisper White, I stamped the holly in black StazOn and colored it in with Garden Green and Cherry Cobbler markers. Then I cut it out and popped it up, too. And there you have it! Good morning everyone! Here we are at another week. I just can't believe how fast it is all going! I know my son can't wait for Christmas break to get here, though. Everything just seems to go at record speed this time of year. We need to finish up the shopping and don't even talk to me about Christmas cards! Maybe I will get some sent out.

Today's card was inspired by the sketch at Clean&Simple. When I first saw the sketch I didn't have any ideas. But after looking through a magazine, I saw ideas using two triangles for a Christmas tree. Well, I decided to give it a try and here is my result! I got my color cues from the Just Add Cake designer paper. And I think it turned out pretty cute! My card base is Poppy Parade and then I used the 3 1/2" circle die to die cut a circle from Blushing Bride card stock and that is glued to the card front. I stamped the words from Grateful for You in Early Espresso onto the circle. Then I cut the two smaller triangles from the Perfect Pennants die using designer paper from the Just Add Cake pack. I trimmed the ends of each triangle with the scallop edge border punch and curled them out a little. I cut a small piece of Early espresso for the trunk and a star using the stars die and So Saffron paper. The tree is popped up on the card and the final touch was some rhinestones. Good morning, Friends! I hope you are all having a super weekend! No winter storm here. Although, today I can't see the mountains around us because of the heavy cloud cover. Looks like they are getting snow. And that's good! So it will be a lazy day around here watching football (go Teebow!!) and staying warm! I made some yummy chili last night for dinner and we have leftovers so that might be the choice of food for tonight as well. I don't mind!

Today's card was inspired from a sketch at My Favorite Things. I don't have any fancy shape die cuts (not yet, anyway), so I made the layer behind my greeting from the two ends of the Top Note die. The card base is Cherry Cobbler with layers of Garden Green and a piece of Frostwood Lodge designer paper. Then I stamped the greeting from the Christmas Lodge stamp set with Cherry Cobbler and Garden Green markers onto Whisper White card stock and the two ends of the Top Note die were glued behind it. I popped this up on the card and added a silver snowflake from the Northern Frost decorative strip die to the corner and a rhinestone that I colored with a red Sharpie marker. A very simple card! Good morning, Friends! I hope you are having a fantastic start to your weekend! I hope to find some time this weekend to get myself caught up on stamping and card making so that I have something to post. I got a new computer last week and am still getting used to using it. I actually went from a PC to a Mac. I love my Mac so far but I am having to learn a few things as I go. Thankfully I learned how to resize pictures and add a watermark (of some sorts). I have been out of the stamping routine for a while now that I feel like I need something to "jump" start me. I couldn't even get my mojo going last night while stamping with Becky. She did let me borrow a stamp set so I will be trying to get something going with it today. We are currently under a Winter Storm Warning but so far nothing is happening. It is just really cloudy. We will see what happens later today.

Today's card was inspired from Mary Jo's Monday Lunchtime Sketch Challenge. My card base is Always Artichoke with a layer of Crumb Cake that I sent through the Big Shot using the Snow Burst embossing folder on the top part and then wrapped a piece of Always Artichoke seam binding ribbon around it. Then I stamped the Christmas greetings from Season of Joy in Crumb Cake ink on Crumb Cake card stock and layered it onto Early Espresso and popped it up on the card. Then I stamped the tree in Always Artichoke and Early Espresso on Very Vanilla and cut it out and popped it up over the panel with the words. I stamped the snowflake in Early Espresso on Very Vanilla and punched it out with the 1" circle punch and added a silver brad and glued it over the ribbon. Then I stamped the greeting in Early Espresso right under the knotted ribbon. Then I decided it needed a little pop of red so I colored a rhinestone with my red Sharpie pen and put it on the tree. Good morning everyone! Here we are at the beginning of December! Yikes!! I am finding it so hard to believe that 2011 is coming to a close! Besides that, I really need to get going on my Christmas cards and Christmas shopping! But first, it is Thursday, and that means another great challenge from our friends at Create with Connie and Mary! This week we have a sketch to challenge us! Take a look!

And here is what I decided to do with it!

I guess it is no surprise that I have Christmas on the brain. We have finally put up our Christmas tree and decorations. I did alter the sketch just a bit but it is mostly still there. My card base is Crumb Cake. I layered a piece of Cherry Cobbler and a piece of designer paper from the Frostwood collection together. Then I flagged one end of a strip of Garden Green and glued that down as well. Before this was glued to the card I wrapped a piece of Cherry Cobbler quilted satin ribbon around it. I also put another piece of Garden Green just under the ribbon with the word 'merry' (from Pennant Parade stamp set) stamped in Early Espresso. I punched a piece of Cherry Cobbler with the 2 1/2" circle punch and popped it up on the card. I stamped the the tree from the same set in Garden Green on Whisper White three times and cut them out. I also punched out three scallop pennants from Garden Green card stock. I glued the trees to a scallop pennant and then scored them down the middle. One side of the pennant was glued to one side of another and then glued to another (I hope that all made sense - lol). The other two sides were glued to the circle. I added a rhinestone at the top of the tree to finish it off. A fun card!!

Good morning everyone! And HAPPY THANKSGIVING! I hope you enjoy your day with family and/or friends! We are enjoying the day with family in Kansas! Nick had the whole week off so we left last Saturday and will be going back home to Colorado on Saturday. But today is the Thursday Create with Connie and Mary challenge. I wasn't able to get my design team card done before I left so I threw a few stamp supplies (and I mean a FEW) together and figured I would make the card at my mom's. This week's challenge is a color challenge. Take a look!

The challenge colors are Night of Navy, Lucky Limeade and River Rock. Don't they look wonderful together?! Here is what I came up with (with my limited supplies):

I brought my Lean on Me stamp set because it makes very easy cards and the images are so cute! For this card I used a sketch from the Clean&Simple blog (the sketch used an circle and I made mine a square). My card base is Lucky Limeade with a piece of Lucky Limeade striped dsp on top. The focal point is the stamp stamped in black StazOn on Whisper White. I also stamped the boy image again on scrap paper and cut him out after coloring him with my aqua painter. Then I cut a strip of River Rock and flagged the ends. This was glued to the Whisper White piece and then glued to a Night of Navy piece and then I put two gold brads in. I popped up this panel onto the card and after cutting the little boy out, I popped him up right over the original boy image. Done!!

Today's card is one that I did a while back. I found a similar design in a magazine. I liked the way the bottom of the strip and the decorative label seem like one piece. Good morning everyone! I know that I am a little late in posting but it is our vacation time - lol! I am at my parents' house for the week. I had the honor of meeting my mom's Stampin' Up! demonstrator, Eva and her husband (also a stamper)! They came over last night to bring my mom's order. Eva had some samples to show and they were gorgeous! I am anxious to try out a new technique they told me about! It's always so much fun to meet other demonstrators! My brother is here now and my sister and her family will be coming tonight. I just love this time of year when the whole family can be together!

Serene Pool Party

Good Monday morning! We have arrived safely at my parents' house. We got here yesterday afternoon. We left on Saturday and did some shopping in Denver and then drove the rest of the way on Sunday. So looking forward to some relaxation!! I can't believe that it is Thanksgiving!! Also, Saturday was Nick's birthday. We celebrated it on Friday. He got to open his gifts and we went out to dinner. He loved all his gifts and even has a little bit of birthday money to spend. I can't believe how big he is getting! I know I say it all the time, but it sure seems that time speeds up the older you get! I think that I will find some time to stamp while I am here - at least I hope so!

Today's card was inspired by a magazine that I had bought a while back. It had three snowflakes down the side. Anyway, it is very simple! I did cut the center of the snowflake out and popped it up on the center snowflake with a brad. Love the little "extras" in the Confetti White card stock! Control Freaks Blog Tour - KISS

Hello everyone! It's that time of the month when the Freaks come out to provide you all with a great blog tour! This month the Freaks are focusing on the 'KISS' method - Keep It Simple Stamper! All of our projects have minimal layers and are easily duplicated. So you probably arrived here from Mary Brown's blog. Isn't she talented? I always love to see what she comes up with! I used the Christmas Lodge set. I stamped the tree onto a Garden Green textured card base with Garden Green ink. Then I took a strip of Whisper White card stock and rounded the corners on one end. I stamped the greeting using Garden Green and Cherry Cobbler markers. On the other end is a strip of Cherry Cobbler that I punched with the dotted ribbon scallop punch. The strip is then popped up on the card base and I added a Cherry Cobbler button with Cherry Cobbler baker's twine.

For this card I used the same stamp set, Christmas Lodge, along with Teeny Tiny Wishes. My card base is Confetti White card stock with the bottom corners rounded. I made a tag from Confetti White card stock as well. On the tag I stamped the image with Garden Green and Early Espresso markers. The greeting is stamped with Early Espresso. I took a strip of Cherry Cobbler card stock and punched it with the scallop edge border punch and glued it behind the tag. I tied a piece of Cherry Cobbler baker's twine at the top and popped the tag up on the card.

Good morning everyone! Yea!! It's Friday!! Time for some fun with a sketch challenge from Sketch Frenzy Friday! This week's sketch was made by me! Take a look!

And here is what I finally came up with!

I don't know what it is but I have a much easier time with other people's sketches. When I have to come up with a card for my own sketch I get stumped. What is up with that? I wanted to do a card associated with Thanksgiving but I just couldn't get anything to work. So I went to Christmas. I love the look of the triangle shaped Christmas tree. I started with a card base of Garden Green and took a smaller piece of Garden Green and ran it through the Big Shot with the Snow Burst embossing folder. Then I used pieces of Crumb Cake, Cherry Cobbler and Early Espresso to finish the sketch off. The tree part is made from a piece of Frostwood Lodge designer paper that was cut with the Perfect Pennants die. Then I cut a square of Early Espresso for the trunk. The tree is popped up on the card and then I added a 'star' with a rhinestone. Not much room for a greeting so I used 'merry' from the Pennant Parade set and stamped it in Early Espresso on Whisper White and flagged one end and put a silver mini brad in the other.

I knew that I wanted to do a Thanksgiving card so here is what I came up with:

I did a search to see if I could find a tutorial for making a turkey from punches. I found one from Angie Kennedy Juda who said she got it from one of our Stampin' Success magazines (it was from a while ago). So I followed her instructions and this is what evolved! Isn't he the cutest? I was really happy with how he turned out. I did add the little "wobble" but it looks more like a mustache. I won't go into details about how I made the turkey but you can do a search and find the video (and many others) on how to make him. I took pieces of More Mustard, Cajun Craze, and Old Olive and sponged them then mounted them to a piece of Early Espresso and ran it through the Big Shot using the Square Lattice embossing folder. This is mounted onto a card base of Confetti Cream. The turkey is mounted a 3" circle of River Rock that was sponged then glued to the card. I added a strip of Confetti Cream with "Happy Thanksgiving" stamped in Early Espresso and a gold brad attached. This is glued onto the card. There you have it!

Simple Solstice

Good morning, Friends! I hope your week is going great! Seems like I have a lot to do this week and I am getting nothing done! Yikes! Yesterday I felt icky all day long! UGH! I guess we all had some side effects from the flu shot that we got on Monday. If I didn't know better I would have thought that I had the flu. I had the chills, my head ached, my body ached and I just felt awful! So I sat in a chair by the fire, curled up in a blanket and dozed most of the day. Thankfully, we all felt much better before we went to bed last night and we all seem to be back to "normal". So today I must go birthday shopping and do some stamping! I am way behind on these things!!

Today's card was inspired by a few I found while blurfing. I was glad to use this stamp from Bells & Boughs. This particular stamp doesn't get much use so I wanted to see what I could do with it. I rather like the way it turned out! I used my blender pen and stamp pads. Pretty simple but can take a little time with the coloring. Good Sunday morning everyone! I hope you are having a super weekend! Yesterday's demonstrator meeting was awesome! I believe that everyone had a most wonderful time! We did some business discussions and then we had a cookie exchange with 6 x 6 recipe pages and then we played a little Stampin' Up! BINGO (thank you Sherry for your wonderful prizes) and then we had a gift exchange. This group of demonstrators can make THE best gifts!! I got a most beautiful Advent Calendar that was made by Heather Williams. The details on this are outstanding!! Thank you, Heather! So today is a day of relaxing and watching a little football - I love football Sundays! Plus, it is pretty yucky outside.

Good morning, Friends! I hope you all are ready for a fantastic weekend! I can't believe how fast time is going but I seem to be saying that more and more (must mean that I am getting old). My son, on the other hand, can't wait for time to fly! His birthday is next Saturday and he is SO looking forward to it! Poor guy doesn't realize that we have not done any birthday shopping - lol! Guess that will be my priority next week! I have a demonstrator meeting later today and I have lots to do to get ready so I guess I better move on to the card...

Good Friday morning everyone! Time for another wonderful sketch challenge at Sketch Frenzy Friday! This week's sketch is brought to us by Angela Walters. Take a look!

A sketch with so many possibilities! But this is what I came up with!

I am quite pleased with this one! I did end up flipping the sketch to make it more balanced. For this card I started with a card base of Whisper White. Then I took another piece of Whisper White and ran it through the Big Shot with the Snow Burst embossing folder and glued it to a piece of Cherry Cobbler. To this panel I added a strip of Cherry Cobbler that I punched with the scallop edge border punch and wrapped a piece of Cherry Cobbler quilted satin ribbon around it. Then I popped up this panel onto the card base. My focal point is a piece of Garden Green card stock that was cut with the scallop squares duo die. I stamped the image from Bells & Boughs onto a scrap piece with black StazOn and colored it with Garden Green and Cherry Cobbler markers and then cut it out. It is popped up onto a piece of Whisper White with the greeting (from the same set) stamped in Cherry Cobbler. This is glued to the Garden Green scallop square that is popped up onto the card.

Good morning, Friends! It's time for another great challenge from the Create with Connie and Mary team! This week we are being challenged with color. Take a look at these colors!

Our challenge colors are Cherry Cobbler, More Mustard, and Basic Black. I do like the swatches of color together. But what to do with them? Well, I have been cranking out the Christmas cards lately so that's what I went with. Check it out!

This is a very simple card. I love this stamp set and how easy it is to use! This set would definitely be a great one to use to mass produce those Christmas cards! I started with a card base of textured Cherry Cobbler card stock. Then I took a piece of More Mustard and scalloped the bottom of it and wrapped a piece of Basic Black narrow taffeta ribbon around the bottom. This is glued flat to the card front. Then I took a piece of Cherry Cobbler and stamped the image and greeting from Come to Bethlehem set in black StazOn. Then I sponged the edges with Cherry Cobbler and glued it to a piece of Basic Black card stock. This panel is popped up on the More Mustard. The final touch was to add a rhinestone to the star. Super easy!

Pennant Swap Card

Good morning, Friends! It was a little hard to get up this morning! I wanted to stay snuggled under the warm blankets! But my husband got up a little earlier than I and built a nice roaring fire! And I have my coffee... just waiting for it to kick in! I guess it will be just a day of trying to get some projects finished up!

Today's card is one that I did for a recent swap that I participated in. I really liked the way this one turned out! The card base is Cherry Cobbler with a piece of Garden Green that was run through the Big Shot using the Snow Burst embossing folder and then a piece of Frostwood Lodge designer paper that has the corners rounded and then a strip of Crumb Cake that was flagged at the bottom - all of these are glued flat. Then I took a piece of Cherry Cobbler and used my Perfect Pennants die to create the scallop circle. The Crumb Cake circle was punched with my 2 1/2" circle punch and sponged the edges with Crumb Cake and glued it to the scallop circle and then popped it up on the card. I used the stamp set Pennant Parade and stamped the tree in Garden Green on a scrap of Whisper White and cut it out and glued it to a piece of Garden Green that had been punched with the Pennant builder punch. I also stamped the little pot and cut it out to glue behind my tree. The tree is popped up on the circle and has a rhinestone added at the top! The greeting, also from the same set, is stamped in Early Espresso on the Crumb Cake strip. A fun and festive card!! Thanks for stopping by and have a super day!

Snowman Shaker

Good morning everyone! Boy was it a cold one this morning! I was so glad that my husband started a fire for us first thing! It was so nice not having anything to do last night! No practices or anywhere we had to be - so nice! Looks like we will have a few weeks of that before we are back to a busy schedule. And Nick makes sure to remind us that his birthday is coming up! Guess we better get to thinking about that!

Today's card is another shaker card. When you get the sheet of shaker frames, there are many different sizes and I was trying to think of some different ways to use them. This card uses the second largest shaker frame. And it works perfectly for the snowman image from the Tags til Christmas set. It was a little harder to make the circle frame because we don't have a punch that size. So I improvised a little but I do like the end result! I made it pretty much the same way I did this one. Good morning everyone! Another week. Another Monday. I just can't believe how fast these weeks fly by! The soccer season ended yesterday with a WIN! Finally! The boys played really well and they found that they can win! It was really great to watch! I am so happy for them! Now they can take a little break and be ready for some winter training. Actually, these boys will be starting up again in January as we have a tournament in February. Now I think that Nick will be doing some basketball.

Good Sunday morning, Friends! The sun seems to be shining for the moment. Did you all remember to set your clocks back? This gets to be a really hard time of the year for me. I have a hard time with it being so dark so early. But I know that it will end soon. We haven't heard that there won't be a soccer game today so I guess I will bundle up to be outside.

Today's card is so simple that I almost feel guilty. I just love the Charlie Brown Christmas tree look. This tree doesn't exactly look like it but it has that feeling of being a little 'thin'. So I call this card my Charlie Brown Christmas tree card. Lol! I used a set that I haven't used in quite some time, Loads of Love. Not a lot to it, but I really like it! Christmas Doily Wreath

Good morning everyone! Are you glad it's the weekend? It was so nice to sleep in. And I could have stayed in bed for a long time as the weather has taken a turn for the bad! It is breezy and rainy and later it is supposed to snow - even here in the valleys! Yuck! Why does it have to be so early? And my poor husband will be working in it all day today. Hmmm... Maybe I will fix something hot and comforting for dinner tonight!! I also feel a head cold coming on. I would really like to nip that! No soccer game today, so I don't have to worry about getting cold and wet! We will see if the team we are supposed to play tomorrow comes over the mountains.

Lately I have been inspired by cards and projects I see on the Hero Arts blog. And I decided to make a few of them using Stampin' Up! products. So they had a card that used a doily stamp for a wreath. I thought, how clever! So I pulled out my doily stamps and made a wreath, too! I stamped the doily stamp (from Delicate Doilies) onto Crumb Cake with Always Artichoke ink. Then I punced out the center with the 1 1/4" circle punch and then cut around it. Then I sponged some Always Artichoke ink around the edges to make it a little more green (I also sponged some ink on the inside of the wreath). Then I tied a bow with Cherry Cobbler seam binding ribbon and adhered it to the top of the wreath. The wreath is popped up onto a square of Crumb Cake which is adhered to a square of Cherry Cobbler which is then popped up onto a card base of Crumb Cake. I stamped the greeting in Crumb Cake and rounded the bottom corners of my card base. The final thing I did was to add the "berries" to the wreath. I used by sharpie pen and colored a few rhinestones before adhering them to the wreath. All in all a pretty simple card! Thanks for stopping by and have a most wonderful day!

Good Friday morning! Time for another super fun sketch challenge at Sketch Frenzy Friday! This week's sketch is brought to us by Tina Taves. Take a look!

Clean and simple! Love it! I wasn't exactly sure which direction to go (too many possibilities). But here is what I came!

I kept my card very simple - just like the sketch. I started with a card base of Confetti Cream. The strip is a piece of Soft Suede with a piece of designer paper from the Spice Cake pack. I took a piece of Confetti Cream and used my Soft Suede, Pear Pizzazz and River Rock markers and colored onto the stamp from the Always Thankful stamp set. After stamping it, I used the 2 1/2" circle punch to punch it out. This is adhered to a piece of Soft Suede that was die cut using the Perfect Pennants die. Then I stamped the greeting from the same set in Soft Suede onto Confetti Cream and punched it out with the oval punch. I glued it to the circle and then popped both of them up onto the card. My final touch was to add a small flower that was punched from More Mustard using the itty bitty shapes punch pack. Then I added a pearl.

Good morning everyone! It's Thursday and time for another super fun challenge at Create with Connie and Mary! This week they are challenging us with a great sketch. Check it out!

And here is what I came up with!

I went in a little different direction. I wanted to try to make a poinsettia. I have seen several different ways to make these and a lot of different inspiration using products from many different companies. So I combined several and came up with this! I used the blossom builder punch for mine and turned the petals so they were more pointy on the ends. First, my card base is Cherry Cobbler. The three strips are also Cherry Cobbler with strips of Basic Black that were punched with the dotted ribbon scallop punch peeking out. My flagged horizontal piece is Very Vanilla with the greeting from Teeny Tiny Wishes stamped in black StazOn. For the poinsettia I punched twelve of the longer petal from the Newsprint designer paper. I sponged those with Crumb Cake. I arranged six of them on a 1 1/4" circle using glue dots. Then I took the other six and staggered them over the first six using dimensionals. Then I punched eight of the smaller petals from the Newsprint designer paper and sponged them with Crumb Cake. I arranged four of them using glue dots and then staggered the remaining four with glue dots. Then I used the Boho Blossoms punch and punched the two smaller flowers from the Newsprint designer paper and sponged those with Crumb Cake. These are adhered to the middle of the poinsettia with glue dots. Then I took some Cherry Cobbler ink and lightly sponged it over the whole piece. I took three pieces of Always Artichoke seam binding ribbon and flagged one end. The other end is adhered with glue dots to the back of the poinsettia and the whole piece is adhered to the card. For the final touch, I add three pearl to the center of the poinsettia. I hope that I explained all of that so that it makes sense.

Good morning everyone! It is a cold one this morning! Toward the end of soccer practice last night, the wind started blowing and the rain came down! Thankfully, coach ended practice early. That and it was completely dark! Tonight will be the last practice! And this weekend will complete the season. Seemed like a long one! We are back to the routine until Thanksgiving!

Speaking of Thanksgiving, the LNS challenge this week was to make a project for the upcoming holiday. It seems like after Halloween we start thinking about Christmas but forget Thanksgiving in between. So I decided to pull out this stamp set that I had gotten, Always Thankful. I love the images in this set but hadn't used this one yet. So I cut a circle using my circle scissors (I am getting much better at using it) from Confetti White card stock and stamped the image in black StazOn. Then I water colored the image with various inks. The edges were sponged with River Rock and another circle was cut with the circle scissors out of Soft Suede. It is glued flat to a piece of Confetti white and the greeting (also from the same set) is stamped in Soft Suede. I wrapped a piece of Soft Suede taffeta ribbon around it and then popped up the panel onto a Confetti White card base. Pretty easy! Thanks for stopping and have a super day!

Good morning everyone! And happy November! It's like we start counting down till Christmas. I guess it is time to start some serious Christmas shopping because I don't like to get out and do it after Thanksgiving! Nick had the day off today so we slept in. So nice! But he won't have another day off until Thanksgiving. He didn't go trick-or-treating last night. And I don't think he missed it. He really doesn't eat all that much candy anyway. And it's nice not to have it in the house so that I will be tempted! We watched a great Monday night football game instead. That was fun!!

Today's card was for the LNS challenge last week which was to create projects using leaves and/or trees. I wanted a different color combination so I looked at my Color Coach and this is what I found - Always Artichoke, Cajun Craze and Perfect Plum. Perfect Plum, really? But then I remembered a tree that we had at our last house. It was a Purple Autumn Ash. I loved that tree! The leaves turned the deepest purple in the fall. It was beautiful! Happy Halloween!! Here we are at the last day of October! I can't believe how fast the time has gone! Since we live in a rural area, I don't think we will be seeing any trick-or-treaters. My husband bought a bag of mini candy bars "just in case". Yeah, right! Lol!! He just wants to eat them himself! I might sneak one in, too. Nick has an early soccer practice for those that want to go trick-or-treating, but I think we will come home and enjoy the football game. And tomorrow we sleep in because there is no school! Yea!!

Good Sunday morning, Friends! We woke up to another cold morning! There is heavy frost everywhere and we decided to fire up the wood stove to help take the chill off in the house. Brrrr!! Yesterday's soccer game did not turn out the way we would have liked. And it ended up being really cold there, too! We thought that it would be warmer than it was so I only brought a jacket. Ha! I am excited to announce that I have been asked to be a guest designer at A La Card Monkey weekly challenge blog! Here is the super fun sketch they have for us!

So many fun ideas to use with these shapes! I used an idea that I got from my friend, Becky and combined it with this sketch. Take a look!

A cute and fun Halloween card! My card base is Basic Black with another piece of Basic Black that was cut down to which I glued my squares to. Then I punched squares using the 1 1/4" square punch - three of Rich Razzleberry, three of Pear Pizzazz, and three of Peach Parfait. Then I used the 1" circle punch to punch circles - two of Rich Razzleberry, two of Pear Pizzazz and two of Peach Parfait. Then I stamped the three images from the Batty For You set in black StazOn on Whisper White and punched out just the images using the 1" circle punch. The image circles are popped up onto the squares while the rest of the circles are glued flat. The squares are glued flat to the Basic Black piece and then to the card. I took a strip of Whisper White and stamped the greeting from Grateful Greetings and flagged the ends. This is popped upon to the card and then I added two rhinestones at each end.

Good morning, Friends! Are you glad it's Friday? Well, here is another reason to get excited about Friday - it's Sketch Frenzy Friday time! This week's sketch is brought to us by Tammy Fite. Take a look:

And here is what I did with the sketch:

Great sketch, huh!! So many wonderful possibilities but I really wanted to try out this bat from a piece of ribbon. Isn't he cute?! I just love how it turned out! And it was so simple! I had seen a few people make this little bat from ribbon and thought it was the cutest idea! I just took a piece of Basic Black ribbon and tied a knot in the middle and clipped the ends. Then I used the 1/4" circle punch to punch out two circles from Whisper White and I used my crop-a-dile to punch the smaller circles from Basic Black. I glued them together and then used glue dots to glue them to the bat. My card base is Basic Black with a layer of Pear Pizzazz and then three strips of Basic Black. Then I cut three squares of Peach Parfait (two smaller and one slightly bigger) and stamped the bats from Wicked Cool in Peach Parfait on the two smaller ones. The middle square is sponged with Peach Parfait and matted with a square of Basic Black. The two smaller squares are glued flat to the card and the middle, bigger square is popped up. I glue dotted my bat to the middle square and then stamped the greeting in black StazOn right underneath. Very simple!

Good morning, Friends! How's your week going so far? I hope you are ready for a super great color challenge from the wonderful ladies at Create with Connie and Mary! Take a look!

I love these colors together - Island Indigo, Baja Breeze, and Rich Razzleberry! And I knew pretty quickly that I wanted to use them for a wintry Christmas card. Here is what I came up with:

This card is so super simple that I almost feel guilty - lol! My card base is textured Rich Razzleberry. I ran a piece of Island Indigo through the Big Shot with the Snowflakes embossing folder and lightly sponged Whisper White craft ink over it to highlight the snowflakes. This piece is glued to a piece of Baja Breeze and then that panel is popped up onto the card base. Then I took a strip of silver glimmer paper (LOVE this stuff) and ran it through the Big Shot with the Northern Frost decorative strip die and cut a strip of snowflakes. I used two of them - the top snowflake has a glimmer brad and is popped up onto the second snowflake which is glued to the card. The greeting, from Four the Holidays, is stamped in Island Indigo onto a Baja Breeze strip. I flagged the end and glued it to the card. Easy!!

Mocha Morning Christmas Tree

Good morning, Friends! It feels like winter has moved in! Actually it is just raining around here but the mountains are getting snow! It would be really easy to stay in bed and snuggle under the covers! Thankfully we can do that tomorrow! Nick has his first dance tonight! I was a little surprised that he wanted to go but I am glad, too. It will be fun to see how it goes for him.

Today's card is another that we did in Becky's card class this month. She said she got the idea from the PaperCrafts magazine. Well, this is my kind of card! I fell in love with this one! Instead of the traditional green tree, I used some of the beautiful Morning Mocha designer paper. I chose one of the pieces that has the gold/copper sheen to it. So rich and regal looking!! Could this be my Christmas card this year? Might be!! Thanks for stopping by and have a super day!

Mocha Morning Hello

Good morning, Friends! I hope your week got off to a great start! Nick enjoyed his day of school yesterday. He enjoyed his new elective (the other elective is p.e. and he always enjoys that one)! In the other class (tech ed), he gets to use a bunch of power tools! And he is really looking forward to that!

Today's card is another copy of what Becky did in her card class this month. Like I said yesterday, I really wanted to use this new designer paper and just needed that "push" to get me started. Her card class cards were perfect for that! Another very simple one but I really like how it turned out! This Mocha Morning designer paper is gorgeous!
